It's probably something wrong with your wrists so you should go check it out. I hurt my wrist awhile back and it still hurts when putting pressure on it...but the thing is i have no idea how i hurt it...so maybe that's what happened to you

When I started handstands, my wrists would hurt because they weren't strong enough or flexible enough to sustain my weight. Try stretching and warming up your wrists before practicing

The worst is when u lose ur balance and your body does a freakout. After those I'd have dull insistent pain in the backs of my hands (the tendons of my fingers) down by the wrist

Wierd. Ive gotten better and rarely feel that pain, and able to hold a freehandstand for around ten secs

When I first started doing hand stands my writs definitely hurt because they lacked the proper conditioning. I can now hold handstands for over 1-2 minutes and can do several HSPU's. When they really start to hurt take a week off. I was under an obsession and literally would do 100+ hand stands a day. I was over working myself. Taking a break gives them time to heal.

ice is the answer to everything. just layoff for a while, and put ice on your wrists to stop any inflaming.     do different wrist exercises, like wrist curls, and always stretch. youll want to strengthen the bones as much as the muscle, so dont forget your calcium!  ;)

Actually if you feel like swelling might occur its better to wrap the affected part of your body...and tight...not too tight to cut off circulation but tight enough so that it doesnt swell.

The reason why things swell is because your body is like "Oh crap pain...i need to put pressure on there so it doesnt move as much so it doesn't cause more damage"...so your body starts sending fluids down there and it swells...now if you wrap it your body is like "Oh crap pain...i need to put pressure on there so it doesnt move as much so it doesnt cause more damage...oh wait...there is pressure...ok nevermind."

So you only have to keep pressure on ther for about 10 mins and then you can do stuff again with some minor pain...if it does hurt at all.

Your wrist aren't used to the weight of your body the same happens to me, just work out your wrist.

Yeah I used to have pain in my wrists as well.  I've been practicing handstands and various levers, which are def building up my wrist strength.  I still have pain when I do levers, but I'm hoping that will go away the same way it did with handstands.  Just keep practicing and when they start to hurt take a break.  Give your body time to catch up with what you are asking it to do.

Might be silly to state and restate this but:

Make sure you are "clawing" the ground, not laying your hands flat.  It will help you balance and may relieve wrist pain.  If thats not helping much, warm up the wrists and use heat after training to loosen the tendons up.  Handstands exploit the myriad of tendons that shoot from forearm to hand, which pass right through the wrist.  If you arent flexible enough you might be causing pain because of all the tension in your tendons.

I started training handstands, and after about 5 mins of working on them the impact of falling on my feet starts hurting them, is that just the consequence of being on concrete when practising, or am i doing something wrong?

Yeah I had that problem too. Eventually what happens is you develop the balancing muscles in your arms and torso that help you place your feet back down, rather than letting gravity do it for you :)

Yesterday I was doing a handstand and it was supposed to be against the wall but my feet never hit the wall and I held a freestanding one for like 7 sec and it felt so good ;D

My wrists never bother me but my head does.  If I do a handstand for more than a few secs or several of them within a few minutes all the blood gives me a headache, and when I go back to my feet it all leaves and everything goes black for a minute.  I'm not sure if that's normal but I wanted to check if it was dangerous and also if there's anything to prevent that.  My current prevention method is not doing any handstands, so any advice would be great.
