Hey yeah i'm the President of the club actually.  Those pics are pretty cool but we have way better now :D Not on the site though.  The co-adviser basically set up the site which is Joomla, and I'm not familiar with it.  I'll upload pics, but here are some more recent pics of us:

More Free-Running these pics, but yeah, we got a lot crazier:

The last one is me from november sometime.  I'm actually jumping from the smaller platform across and catching myself on the higher up one.  From the higher up one to the ground is about 14 or so feet (which two of our members have scalled somehow before by doing 3 steps on it).

We actually have a ton of videos, but they aren't on youtube yet..one guy has them but hasn't transferred them to me yet so they're just on facebook only.

We have a "meeting" outside on Wednesday afternoon with some officials with the University just to show them that Parkour isn't a bunch of mindless jumping around and stuff.  Then they could officially OK some of the stuff on campus because well, we thought they had OK'd some stuff on campus which we just found the other week that they really didn't.

Anyway, when we get things OK'd for REAL, we could technically entertain anybody in the world doing parkour on here.  All they'd have to do is sign a little waiver thing saying basically "if i do something that's silly and get hurt, i can't really sue the university since it's my fault" and just some basic medical info in case you mess up, get knocked unconscious and the ambulance has to come (which i doubt would ever happen)..then (according to the director of rec services) anybody could technically come and do stuff (so far at least).

There are people who do it at Iowa but I don't know them personally.  The Director of Rec Services here told me that U of Iowa is actually looking to us (ISU) and the club we have.  So since they're working with us, if someone at Iowa shows understanding of the university and a will to try to not damage anything, then that might be a reality too.

thats real tight.

see if you can get a hold of some guys like Mark Toorock or skynative or somebody and let them know that Iowa will gladly host a national jam.

not to mention that would be great publicity and open more oppurtunities for more people who are interested!!

Wow..i'm surprised Iowa has ppl who are so into PK. I would love to session with you guys sometime and hopefully u could teach me some stuff. I'm only 15 and havent been doing this long. Its difficult when I dont have anywhere to train. I live in a small town about 20 miles south of Fort Dodge. Again I say the many involved in Iowa is impressive. It gives me hope and i wish to meet and train with you in the future.

Figured I'd throw myself into the fray and say I'm in Estherville, about a half-hour drive to the east of Spirit Lake, and ready and willing to train, learn, and practice with anyone...when I'm not in class.

hey I'm not really sure where to ask this, but I've never done parkour before and I'm looking for a place to learn. I've had a lot of hard times lately and parkour has given me a new goal. I live in Clinton but am willing to drive a bit. Is I.S.U parkour open to everyone?

Deontae no one will accept your offer because if they don't live in Des Moines, they wont come everyday. I suggest offering Jam sessions. They are once and a while things that people can find the time to come to. I love parkour as much as you do, but you can't force people to try hard. They move at their own pace and must be treated individually rather than as a whole. I'm sorry if you feel this is going too far for you, but I just wanted to make a suggestion.

Alright, now the main goal shouldn't be to create a team. We can do that easily. Our goal is to become organized. By that, I mean we need to meet up in Jam sessions. We can't become a team if we are unknown to each other. So, we will spread parkour, but slowly. It will start in Des Moines and spread through Iowa. Des Moines is our capitol, and that makes it our heart. We must make our heart strong so that the rest can become strong as well. Check out my Iowa Parkour Jam - Des Moines! post for more information.
