Hello, I have recently started parkour about a month ago. I started training at the nearby university of arkansas in fayetteville and also in the woods near my house. I heard about and knew people that practiced this but never really gave it any thought until I saw somebody escape from the cops by jumping off of the second story balcony and then vaulting some things. Now that I've been training a little bit it feels quite natural and enjoyable.

You should know that Parkour isn't all about running from the cops though. IT could be useful, but no the only reason to practice it. Did he get away?

Hi everyone!

My name is Natalie (no nickname, yet) and I am relatively new to parkour. I got into it about 4 1/2 months ago but I have a background in gymnastics! I live in the District (not B13) and train with a bunch of cool people here.

If you're in the area be on the look out for my weekly jam, I will be posting it in the other forum!  :)

Hello! My name is Emil, and I've been training parkour/freerunning for almost 3 years. I'm from Sweden, but I'm going to spend 3 weeks in the US, so I figured I'd sign up here and maybe find someone to train with. :)

Hi, I'm Kris. 35-year-old mother of two, ages 3 and 5, residing in central Iowa.
I've just come to Parkour a month ago. A friend's kids started freerunning this summer and she had posted some info on facebook. Prior to that, I had never heard of PK.  I watched a TON of David Belle vids, read about the history and philosophy, and am attracted to so many aspects of PK. My kids are really active and this is an activity we can do TOGETHER!!!  It'll be slow-going, but that's fine with me.   :D

It might be like Loopkicks which does a lit of free-running type things.

Yo Everyone! My name's Matt aka MrKnowID.
I play lacrosse and loved to vault over the defenders, and one game some player complained that I was doing Parkour. Honestly I had no idea what it was, i just like jumping over things.  So i looked it up and I really want to get Started! ;D ;D ;D

By the way I live in York, Pennsylvania. And does anyone know any good place to practice the vaults and jumps around York?

:D Hey all!  My name is Michael no official nickname besides my self imposed tag: Schloss(A German translation for the English word castle).  I've recently started up parkour(just a few weeks of training as of this post  ::) ) after two and a half years of pursuing music and not much of anything else(made me a little bit out of shape).

My conditioning and workouts seem twice as hard as they should be, but I have yet to be defeated by my lack of fitness.(For anyone who wondered, no I'm not fat  ;)  super slim for being so out of shape)  I have yet to find anyone else in my little slice of Lafayette Indiana that is in to parkour, so my knowledge is limited to what I can find online.

Hoping to join the ranks of free runners in the coming month's and eventually years.  Any tips or advice would be appreciated!  Thanks to everyone who makes up this community!   :)
I like to think of myself as a disciplined individual.  I have no trouble embarrassing myself in public.  :)
