Hello everyone, I'm Brad and I am currently residing in the Elizabethtown area.(45 minutes (or miles can never remember) south of Louisville, Kentucky) I'm 13 and new to parkour. Hope to find some people to train with either here in E-town or up north in louisville, but if not, I've still got plenty of things to do that don't require leaving the house...;)

welcome to all new members!! im pretty new here too, i joined last summer after searching the word ninja into wikipedia and found parkour, which led me to this site. i didnt do almost anyhting last year for parkour, but im 13 years old, dedicated and willing to go through anything on my road to success. im getting really serious about it this and ive already been seeing things the way a traceur would after watching some pk vids on youtube, here, and just anywhere i can find them. i live in kenosha wisconsin and im trying to raise awareness of parkour in my town. talking more about it, asking people about it, bringing it up in conversations, writing persuasive essays about pk in english class. training tips, how to increase precision jump distance, get over that feeling when you do flips, you know?? im looking for training partners this year.

Hi I'm Jessica. I'm new to parkour...yes I'm a novice... Anyways this site is quiet informative and very useful. Perfect for someone like me. Hope to get some of my friends to join me....even though they keep making excuses...but maybe my guy friends would join.
Location: Omgz! I'm not from america? lol nope. From Canada. Yay.  And no we don't say eh, or aboot. :P....Well i don't and I haven't heard anyone that does. lol.
Age: I'm 18 now!! Even though I don't feel an 18 year old girl, more like 14.

I enjoy running, anything active, reading, DRAWING and video games. I'll stop there. I have alot of hobbies. Seriously is it possible having too much?

Anyways I hope to be skilled one day like all the talented individuals in APK.

I absolutely agree. I'm 13, and I just started myself. The main trouble I'm having is just not being as tall as desirable for some things in parkour. But yeah, go ahead and start.
Sweatpants: $15
Running Shoes: $120
Gatorade: $3
Doing Parkour: Priceless

For the rest, there's Parkour

Hi everyone, I'm Mark.

I'm 24, living in Manassas, VA, and getting back into shape and back into parkour. When I was in highschool I did parkour when I could and thristed for more knowledge (A handful of websites were starting up back then, around '02). But for the past 4 years I really slacked and let my physique go to trash, but I'm building it back slowly now. Been doing about a month of intense training to get myself back into the shape I was in high school (and aiming for beyond in the next few months).

Except to see me lurking here a lot and skimming informative threads, and posting in the Virginia and DC forums to try an hang out with some people.

I go by aknoll (pronounced kind of like anal not ak-noll... it is what it is) I'm just starting out in parkour/free running, I'm finding out that I have been doing a lot of this stuff for pretty much all my life and I never knew it was something like this. So hopefully I catch pretty quick, my biggest obstacle would be finding some more people interested in it in my area. I've got one pal on board so that's a start hopefully we get some more people involved with it.

Haha. Hell I am twelve years old and I think about how I am going to have years of experience by the time I reach the age most people start. Every age is good for parkour!!! :)

Hi people,

Poetry from the UK, I have been training Parkour on and off for the last 6 months. Once uni has finished I should have more time for my Parkour, rock climbing and martial arts. I am also 30 I joined american Parkour because I'm planning on coming to the US on my travels and I knew you had a specialist section for older practioners although I have to say I'm having problems trying to find it  ;D
