Mt. Pleasant anyone?

I was just curious if anyone around the Mt. Pleasant Area is interested in meeting up with me.  I am very motivated with parkour and am in love with the philosophy behind it.  I have been exercising a lot lately, but have been either sick or injured for the last year so again I am out of it.  But I have been getting better, I plan on training all summer but I want to get together and do something somewhere with some people before it gets too cold and slippery everywhere.  So if anyone is seriously interested or willing to show me around their town / city I would be up for a trip in the next week or two for a day.  Just leave me a messege here, get me on AIM ( platinumhotdog ) or call me 989 444 1585. I need to meet other motivated people that might be able to keep me in check and not injure myself by overdoing it again lol.

Hello and welcome. A long time ago there was a group there called the Giant Robot Pirates but I think they pretty much moved on to other things, so I dont know anyone there at present.
I recommend telling a couple of your friends about it and just start learning together, keeping eachother motivated.

Hello all!

Xero reporting in, somewhat surprised my username still works here as it's been forever since I logged in, but I'm back! Looking to get back into Parkour, however I have a bit of a proposition for you all...

I live in Mount Pleasant at the moment, going to Central Michigan U. I am majoring in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts, which means media and media production, essentially. I would love to go into Film, doing whatever I would like to do at the moment. Presently, I'm in a documentary sort of mood, but I will also want to make short films in the future.

However, I find myself coming back to Parkour, and knowing that I'm not of the frame or build to do some of the things you all do... so I have a bit of an offer to make.

I recently purchased my first really nice camera, a Canon XL1S MiniDV camcorder ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v80/assassinofeden/snap_27.jpg ). I would love to get some footage done for a portfolio of sorts, or a demo reel, if you would. What better way than to offer my services to the community?

I'm not asking to be paid anything whatsoever, this is entirely volunteer, out of my love for the sport and the people who do it. So if you're in the area, or relatively close by, and are jamming anytime, give me about two or three weeks notice, and I'll see about coming on out to film for you.

Once done filming, I will try my best to get things digitized and edited as quickly as possible, and yes, I will take your input into how it looks and sounds (if there's a specific song or whatnot you'd like to use, feel free to tell me, etc).

So, how do you all feel about it? Let me know.
