During the last few days,

There has been swimming, biking, some running, flips, jam, more flips, little pk. More swimming and biking, CF, lots of dancing, more swimming. Climbing, jumping, more dancing.

I have stayed very active, just not enough internet access to keep a good track of goals and records. My workout have also been pretty spontaneous, they just happen.

Emphasis work on presses and flips, specially after the dance club closes, side flip, back tuck check tends to happen ;)

Its been fun and this year will be even much more fun.

And this week didnt change much...

Been doing lots of natural training, barefoot, swimming underwater. Uneven terrain runs and precision.

Sunday

Waimea bay
Some rock climbing drills, nothing crazy, just working the upper body. Move on to some swimming and flips (back and side)
Worked on back head springs, had not done those in ages, manage to do 5 on my first try. Gotta drill them, want to polish them.
Did some presses and a 5sec flag, I know not much but for not having trained them in a while I was happy.

Relaxed on monday

Tuesday
Some light upper body conditioning.

Climb ups
5x10

wall dips
10x5

punched the bag for about 20mins

50 ring dips

Wednesday

CF WOD

Fran
21, 15, 9

Thrusters
pull ups

my tiem 5:20, thats about 1mins slower than last time. Excuse, well, I did feel more pumped last time, I dont know, there wasnt any chalk either, slipping from the bars. Unbroken thrusters but had to stop on the pull ups.

Prior to that I did several laches, muscle ups, presses.

Met with David for dinner before UH.

At UH, we warmed up and did 5 of each of this flips
back, front, side, gainers, a few kick the moon and more presses.
Some tandem stuff and some conditioning.

Thursday
Diamon head barefoot. Got on one blister. Lots of fun, my first time. Lots of people but so much potential for training up there.
We cooled down jumping off crown well, some flips and what not.

Friday
Chill, not much, resting the body. Did some flips here and there at the beach. Lots of presses and hand stand and some tandem stuff with D.

Saturday
Ala Moana beach park, some freesbee, more presses and hand stands, swimming quite a bit.

Sunday
We going to go sky diving but was raining, went to kaena point instead for some nice

Was going to go sky diving today but the rain didnt help instead me, david and ryan enjoy a nice trail -mud- run to kaena point. Lots of puddle jumping, lots of stride work, very muddy and slippery surprisingly none of us fell, although David had a 200+lbs rock fall on him. Hes ok. It was awesome, hadnt been there walking only when off roading last year. Found some pretty cool places to jump off of.... have to admit didnt like the idea of knowing that the area is know for sharks but hey, should we let fear stop us or keep us sharp. Was kinda silly though, we were with my dog roxy and we got a ticket cuz they dont accept dogs at the park They dont accept dogs but they allow for huge off road trucks to go there and semi destroy the landscape... ugh, lame ass people....

The blisters been bugging me, for obvious reason but today after warming up a bit didnt even feel it while running.
Also did a nice piked frontflip onto send from about 7 to 8ft. First piked outside actually. Felt awesome.

Now I am chilling and ready for the the body to rest.

Monday

Absolutely nothing... haha

Tuesday

Awesome fun.
Kokohead, my time this time 15:48, that is almost 4mins shorter than last time. I was dead at the top though. Lots of fun, some back tucks and presses at the top. Pics soon.

Way down 5mins.
Pretty fast, lots of well taken inpact. More presses and flip checks at the button.

China Walls afterwards, diving, swimming, followed by...
Spitting caves, 40ft jump onto water, had to climb up to get out and back up.

Then the log (Alan Davis)
More flips and swimming, got a local guy to try a double back, second attempt was pretty good. Good kid, good spirit. Made us feel proud of him and ourselves as motivation. We pushed him hard mentally.

"Finish" with Jacuzzi at davids.

That night, met with some friends to go out, while waiting (since one of them works at 24hr fit) I was going over some drills (snatches) with one of the guys, working on form. We did a short work out.

CF Total (light)
Dumb Bell Snatch

5, 5, 3, 2, 1

30#
35#
40#
45#
60#

Then coaching them on some kipping pull ups, knees to elbows and other stuff we exchanged knowledge of, not a workout just drilling movement.

Finish the night with some dancing.

Wednesday.

Some presses here and there. Getting better and better.
Went to play some pool with David. Each game loser had to do a "punishment"

1st game was of 15 pk push ups -  I win
2nd game - 5 presses - I win
3rd game - 50 squats - I lose. Finally, I was starting to feel like I was getting nothing out of it... with my legs in pain from Kokohead those werent fun though.

Bathroom break for D, I did 50 pu's while waiting.

4th game - back tuck - I lose
5th game - Tie breaker - 3 presses, 10 clapping push ups, 25 squats and 1 back tuck. I win  ;D!!!

We still check on a few back tucks inside the bar. I did like 7 total.

Went outside and felt a bit adventurous although pretty tired we did a few sideflips on the wakiki walk, got some funny looks and cheers!

Today so far, 10 presses. We are going camping tonight. A chill day for the most part.

What is better than going to a spot where there was something you couldn't do, and doing it with power to spare? I think that is the second best feeling in my life :)

Wow, its been so long since I posted. Just been lazy I guess. I have been doing way to much to be able to remember it all.

For the most part I have been doing a lot of hikes.
Teaching 3 to 5 times a week keeps me busy and in shape as well.
Went to Kauai and that was a blast, coming back was definitely a shocker.
Oahu doest and will not feel the same anymore.

Have been doing a lot of barefoot training, some easy terrain some not so forgiving.
Lot of play and exploration in the form of getting in the car with D and just see where we end up.

Breaking personal times doing long hikes, enjoying the live and energy around me as I do so.
Starting to stay out again more often, got rained on the first night but it wasnt all that bad.

Being closer and closer to my friends, missing my lover, cleaning the earth anyway I can, one piece of trash at the time.

Gave Kapena Falls some love by doing a leave no trace event.
Did CF for the first time in over a month yesterday....

Came back to Fran, not an easy one to come back to. My time 4:27, two seconds slower than my last time but considering how long I have been gone Im was happy.

Got some red five fingers for free.

Roxy is sexier and more agile than ever.
Ankles are alright, just like always keeping my mind busy and my body aware.

Gotta update HIpk, work on the video review and give the forum more lovings.

Going to the Ohio event on memorial weekend, visiting my mom and training with miami freerunning while at it.
Planning a trip to NY at the end of the year, then Vegas and hopefully Grand Canyon.

Meditating, being a renegade, thoughts of anarchy, getting inside my head a lot, trying to reach for the energies and all that feeding my soul.

Thanks CF today Im sore.

Friday night...

Taught class.
Open session afterwards, side flips, side webster, gainer, backtucks. Light session.

Sat, no memory of it

Sunday

Jam, lots of moving around, light conditoining. Exploring, lots of kong to precisions. Some pictures can be found on Hipk front page. Did this one cat I looked at before, felt smooth, felt nice and controlled. Nice session overall.

Monday
Ran errands went to the park and got Emele training on video. Taught class afterwards.

Tuesday

Waimea bay, wave fighting, some rock climbing. Nothing much, taught CF first class at night.

Wednesday

Kokohead with Emele, very slow pace. Shes 3yo. Went down the other way, rocky step moutain. Some swimming and diving. Taught class at night. Didnt do much, but learned standing back piked. Bunch of presses after class at Aprils work.

Overall, ankles have been bugging me, stiff and just feel weak. Have stopped me the last few days from doing much though they feel good after warm up they still feel it the next day.

Been doing more scatter pull ups.

Need to do some healing, learn more about it. More meditation, staying out, getting in and outside my head, patience, balance, vision, peace and clarity.

Today

so far not much, about to do some pull ups, teaching at CF tonight, then ghost "hunting".

CF class
Conditioning.

Using parking ramp, going down and up.

Lunges, forward down, backwards up x10
side ways horse stances traversing down and up x10
broad jumps up, duck walk down x10
QM forward down, backwards up x10

"rest break"
Grip work.
Dead hang on wall.
20sec hang, 10sec rest x2
30sec hang, 10sec rest x2

More upper body
Tabatta wall dips.

Had them work on landing and safety vault for 30 minutes. Lots of repetition.

When finished, I did a couple laches.
Tried 5mu's but failed. Had to do one at the time. My form was wrong. Pretty disappointed.

Results of ghost exploration.
Lots of walking. Good cardio.
Mental note for next time, go with people who are able to shut their mouth up.

Looking for ghosts, or trying to be stealthy? If you were looking, it's kinda fun to bring people who are scared and nervous. Especially if you have a handful of small pebbles, or have a friend who can hide out and make scrapes and chain noises close enough to be heard, but far enough not to be caught.

The ghost hunting experience was mostly lots of walking, we went to the pali lookout (battle grounds - lots of people died there), and this other spot "morgans corner" which is suppose to be this guy who hung himself up there and now hunt the place. I dont think we ever actually got to the corner cuz we didnt know where it was. But it was fun none the less. There were a group of people we ran into, they didnt see us at first so we got to hide and jump out and give them a good scare. It was fun. It was roxy, me, david, 3 other guys and two girls.

At one point the girls decided to split when the rd split in two, so we went right, they went left. The other three dudes just wouldnt shut up, being so loud and talking about stupid crap. That was kinda annoying, that is not what I like to call going out ghost hunting, to much noise with them just talking stupidity. We found some cool stuff but nothing scary.

Then we got to scare the girls when we saw them coming towards us we hid on some bush as I sent roxy alone.... then when they got closer we jumped out.

The outcome was a lot of walking with a bit of creepiness here and there but nothing crazy really. Good cardio though.

Sat morning,

Yoga and meditation. Good new yoga concepts. Will be fun to learn from this girl. Meditation was fun also.

Noon,

Went on this hike with my 5fingers for more meditation. About 5 miles total.
Evening, walked to the lookout up the street. Up hill and down hill, 2 more miles.

5 fingers are awesome, make me work my ankles and calf a lot, going to be doing most my hikes with them for strengthening.
Ankles are feeling good today, did some healing yesterday and will do some more today.

Today, just chill, maybe staying at the beach.

Yo guys thanks for checking out my training journal. I hope it help you find different ways to achieve you PK goal.
Enjoy.

Always remember "Live Free, Run Free"
------------------------------------------------------
 10/18/07

I have been taking easy for the last couple of week. Only conditioning and light PK runs. Seminar is coming up this Sun and I wanna be fresh for the event and let my bruised heel get some rest, feeling better though.

I am conditioning for my muscle ups (still trying to get them, I am on a sloppy one so far)
The way I do it.
I find a wall and place myself on a cat leap position, once there I pull myself up with my arms as trying to get over the wall but just half way, then a let my self back down into the cat leap position then to pull myself up again again. I do this as many reps as I can several sets. This is a very good exercise for our back, shoulders and abs.

I have been also working on wall push (dont really know the name)
You need two walls facing each other to do this, depending of your height the distance between each other varies. I am 5'11 I need mine not more than 5'9'' apart. I place the palm of my hand on one wall and my feet on the other lifting my whole body on a horizontal position. I hold the position for as long as I can, very good for your core, back and shoulders. A bit tough on the wrists.
Another way I am doing this is by trying to walk either up or sideways. I found a short wall so I am walking sideways.

Wall push ups.
Feet on the wall, hand on the ground. I start with one push up, then walk the wall across, up and down and finish with another push up. Thats one rep.

Been working on precisions trying to get a farther jump I am at about 8' or so. I am trying to conquer this one spot but I cant seem to build up enough confidence to throw my feet onto it.

Palm spins are getting way better, lot higher landing on a more standing position.

I finally got back the wall flip, I went out yesterday and did it about 10 times at a park near by, still on grass. I want to start trying variations of it and I hope to transition on to concrete soon.

I wanna start focusing on getting more air time/distance on my kongs from a short take off run.

I have gym session today so I'll work on 2 step wall flips and getting that kong air time longer.

Goals
Build up my cardio and stamina for longer runs.
Start doing sets of sprints up hill.
Increase Kong air time/distance.
Add an extra foot length to my precisions.
Start doing wall flips on the concrete anywhere, everywhere.

Well, that is a good workout for you Ozzi. Exercise is better for us to make our body become healthy and far from any sickness. Because if there is a pain, we will be weak and we couldn't move properly.  So, let us take care of our selves.

Things are a lot less restrive in HI than here on the mainland, especially in the Midwest. It was a bit of a culture shock when I went to Maui, but it didn't take me long to adapt! ;D

We can't go into anyplace without shoes and a shirt on. It's rather silly.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the Ohio trip, you will probably be meeting me there next time!

actually pain is the nerves in your body sending signals to your brain telling you somthing is wrong and that whatever your doing you need to stop before you hurt yourself more than you may have already done
