It will cost as much as the trip out here and housing. If it's really a stretch, send me a PM and we can talk. I wouldn't want cost to be a limiting factor in attending the jam!

two weekends in a row is not a good idea, maybe for a small jams but this will force a lot of people to choose between the two jams and draw people away from one jam. its best to spread this all out, one jam in the begining of summer, another in the middle, another in the end etc... were planning on having a chicago jam but it wont be anywhere near the midwest jam.

I agree with Ando; they should be spread out. Be aware, also, that the Madison jam is still tentative. We have to get a few things lined up before we can officially say we're hosting the jam. We'll know more in February or March.

Assuming it all happens, though, all I can say is... there are parts of this jam where it will be *obvious* that a girl was involved in the planning. ;)

as though there were some obstacle in the way;
and yet: as though, once it was overcome,
she would be beyond all walking, and would fly.

This sounds pretty badass. I'm just 15, but i'll be 16 when the jam comes so i'll be able to drive there. Cept can't get a hotel or anything lol. My crew and I live in St.Louis, Missouri if anyone is nearby. Well this seems like  potential awesome Jam so hope NLPK can make it.

If this happens, I sure hope Travis Noble can make it. How cool would that be, to have Travis Noble being his awesome beast-self on Madpk's very own "Travis Noble Tree"?

;)

Can't wait for January/February, when we get our ducks in a row and can make the official official announcement that this is happening!

I am definetly in. Ive managed to get to the midwest jam the last two years even though it was a 3 hour drive. If its in madison it will be a nice change in distance haha. But madison definetly has some good spots. Police is what im worried about, especially if you are considering any spots near the UW campus. But I will definetly be there, and hopefully with it being closer to fond du lac, i can get my whole crew to come, which should still be about 8-10 people by then.

Thanks, dud! We've definitely been using that as a big reference/starting point for our decisions so far. If anything isn't clear, we'll be sure to let you know :).

I might try to get a Greyhound to St. Louis and then bum a ride off some of the people up there. Or I could get a car. There's plenty of time before July.

Me and my friend are thinking about showing up for it, would be a stretch though we live in omaha, nebraska. ( 7 hour drive  :-\ ) I just turned 16 and have a truck, only problem is i can't get a hotel. But it would be warm,i could just sleep in the back of my truck :)

Re: lodging, we are working on setting something up. Stay tuned. We have time to plan. :)

Here is a question:

I am thinking of offering a ballet conditioning class and/or a flexibility training session that is more formal than the one I did at the CO jam last summer (that one was sort of impromptu). I'm pretty sure we'd have studio space available to use at SMB. For those of you who think it would be a "sissy" thing to do... trust me, ballet is HARD. You will get stronger doing it, I promise. :) Plus I would modify the class to be parkour-specific in many ways.

Thoughts/opinions? I won't feel bad if people don't want to do it; I just thought it might be an interesting option. But please be honest. If it is something you'd want at the jam, I will set it up. If not, no worries; there is certainly plenty more to do in Madison for parkour!

you think it would be illegal to just throw up a tent in the back of my truck?

Muse of fire, What type of lodging would you be thinking of? I'm on the WA/ID border, so thats a stretch.
