i'm going to try a new way of posting. if i'm posting about the lake county, i'm going to put (LC) in the title. i think that this could organize this forum a little better. i'm not telling anybodt to do anything, but merely suggesting.
(LC)=Lake county(particular cities are too small for their own tag)
(CL)=Cleveland
(OSU)=relating to Ohio State University Parkour club
(CO)=colombus
(CI)cinci
(DT)=dayton
(APK)=everybody
i left out a whole bunch, but i'm sure you guys who choose to use this handy system can figure it out.

i hope this helps, and it makes posts a little more relevant to one's specific intrests.

sure. but it would be good if it was limited to the regional forums. and if it catches on, the abbv. should be put in a sticky or somthing.

why not just say lake county... or columbus or cinci, or cleveland (C-land), or Tol, or OSU, or Dayton...

wouldn't that be easier than going back to the sticky topic or studying the abbreviations?

i see a few reasons right now. 1. its easier for the person to type LC rather then Lake County 2. they are pretty easy to memorize so once you memorize what CL stands for oyu can say Oh thats Cleveland. so a topic header would say (CL)Rock 'n Roll..oh we should be at the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame in Clevelan etc etc. its easy once you see it a lot more. lol.

ok, well... as all of the new people (which there are a lot of on a pretty common basis) join the channels, we can just confuse the hell out of them, and keep saying "refer back to the topic "(APK) post tag suggestion".

It's bad enough for me being a cadet in the Air Force ROTC (having to memorize over 30 job positions as well as the names of the people who have those jobs). I don't really think I'll have a problem remembering the abbreviations, I just don't think it's going to help with all of the new users that join pretty often.

Most of the threads here seem pretty self explanatory by their names.  "Findlay", "Kent Hudson or stow?", "I will be in Columbus...", etc.  If you don't know where a place is, go to Google and put in,   <the place you don't know> Ohio and it should point you to a map.  After that you can even put in your address to see how far away it is.

Maybe a more conscious effort to name threads correctly and descriptively with words and names would be the best way to go.  That way new people and lurkers don't have to figure out the "code".  For example don't just say "Jam this Sunday".  Instead try "Jam at Lakeland College this Sunday" (typing Lakeland Ohio into Google pops up the college as the first response, and even includes an address).

Oddly enough there will mostly liekly be a Jam at Lakeland Sunday as long as it doesn't rain
