hello to the port huron area
« on: September 24, 2007, 08:49:50 AM »
Hello, just wondering if there is a meeting place that eveyone gets together at in the port huron area. want to start the basics and looking for people to train with and learn from. am a little bit older so slow is better, and people to work out with would be a big help. almost always in town either at work, or school(SC4). have found some fun palces to train and planning on putting up some things at my house(chin/dip bars) and the like.

thanks
Matt

just give it some time. people will eventually answer you when they see your post, so have a little patience.

Sorry to take so long. You can call me Assassin. I live in Port Huron. Maybe in the spring we can meet up. A big training place is SC4 and Pine Grove Park.

dindnt mean to sound snippy on my last post. that would be cool in the spring. just started to do the basic movements but have had a very busy last few months(got married) and am digging in for a long winter. and am beginnning my indoor training. my goal is to loose about 25 pounds, and be able to do 5 handstand pushups when spring arrives. it is very attainable i believe and will be posting my training log on here when i can.

i go to SC4 for school and agree that there are a ton of great lines to work there. and pine grove as well. i have also checked out the imagination station in St. Clair. really cool am at school on tuesdays and thursdays from 8am till about 9 pm for class(long scheduel this semester). thanks for the reply
Assassin. hit me up and we can get together.

well...you don't NEED to have one of those to train. on the next none freezing wet day I'm gonna find some gloves and go train a while. Probably up at Memorial...wall climbs, monkeys, and Kongs and maybe some precisions.

I haven't been there in a while but I am going to be going more often because of the snow and cold. I went running today and it was so wet and cold.
