Alas.  With only about $100 left to my name, I've stopped in KC.  There are plenty of people who make trips out to Colorado pretty regularly, so I may tag along, but for now I'm more interested in spending my money on things like "food" and "credit debt."  I'm looking for a place to live.  I'm rejoining staff here where I was before (back in February).  Doing NightWatch doesn't lend itself to much Parkour, though.  I'm still exercising, but I feel pretty weak most of the time.  Sleeping during the day sort of messes up your body.  A very basic workout this morning (aka 3pm) left me pretty shaky.

So, here I am, in Kansas City.  :)  It's a pretty central locale, so if any of you are every in the area...  Or if you want to road trip...  Or if you're passing through...

I still plan on going to CO and NM within the next few months.  One of my best friends lives in Denver and she's moving to India permanently in February.  Obviously, I really want to get to see her before she goes.

And there you have it, folks.  The road trip I've been dreaming of is yet again being postponed.  Now I'm looking for a place to live and settling back in.

Maybe it's better this way.  This gives me more time to improve, so that when we do get to jam together, I'll actually be fun to jam with. :P

I prefer to sleep during the day, which makes school very difficult for me.  The only time I was ever on a "normal" sleep cycle was when I was in Hawaii... where I was only sleeping at "night" because it was early morning back home.

Did perpetual happiness in the Garden of Eden maybe get so boring that eating the apple was justified?”

So, how did the soul-searching go and how much have you left to do?  Also, are financial problems the only reason you cut your trip short?

no, finances aren't the only reason.  i'm rejoining staff at IHOP (not pancakes... www.IHOP.org), but that's all i'll say here.  it's against APK policy to discuss religion.  :)  (hence part of the reason i also changed my sig)

I see...   :)  Well, congratulations on finding your true calling; not everyone is as lucky.  While I do have some strong opinions of organized religion, I will say no more here in consideration of forum rules.

Any organization that bears some semblence, even in just name, to the International House of Pancakes is O.K. in my book. (I hart pancakes.)

Good luck, godspeed.
