gone too long but never fear a challenge is here
« on: January 10, 2006, 10:18:03 PM »
the table crawl

an old challenge from the gym the table crawl is accomplished by climbing from the top of a table on yer stomach down under the skinny side under and across the bottom without touching the ground and back up to the top.  i repeat without touching the ground.
anyone who nails it first try is my hero and yeah dont give up its not thaaaaaat hard.

So basically you climb from the top on one end of the table to under it, upside down, then up to the opposite end of the table?  Kinda like a big circle?  That seems pretty crazy, do you like only use your arms or something?

yeah this is a great full body workout. a pretty cool mental 'puzzle' as well. its best if the table is about 3-4 ft. wide and 5-6 ft. long.

I have got to try that, it just seems like there aren't too many good tables without beams around here.

I remember doing that after you showed us at the DU jam. that was really tough. how did you think of that?

truth i didnt invent it and i dont know who did.  a fellow student (when i was a child) had had it brought to him and he in turn to me.  and it is a hard thing also any unique things the table has can make it even more fun and challenging.

I filed this one away and never tried it(I don't have a table) but some freinds were trying the same idea out on pommel horse the other week and so I gave it a shot, seemed impossible on my first try but I figured out away the second time very fun good excercise. Need to find a good table I can try it on now.
I shall not fear, fear is the mind killer the little death that precedes total obliteration

I will face my fear, I will let it pass over and through me and were it is gone, I will turn the inner eye and see its path, and only I will remain.
