The map for that hostel is pretty old school ;)  I'm sure we'll be able to figure something out.  I'll still give the place another call tomorrow, I have to clarify some of the details anyway.

Heh. It totally is. :)

I went ahead and booked a room at the Rockies place. I have maps from there to the other hostels though; it's about a mile or so from each place. So I can meet up with people at the other hostel(s) if need be, to get rides to the jams. This will force me to run my mile. :P

Thanks for looking into that, Cheetah; I think it will probably just be easier this way though.

At this point in the summer it really is kinda nice at night, but I'm not too sure I would want to sleep on the streets ;)  The DIA hostel still has room, you will have to book online though:

I am still trying to get free lodging at a friends place, but the DIA hostel is definitely my fall back.

It's official, 6 members from Fight or Flight El Paso Parkour will be in attendance.  We are booked at the Innkeeper of the Rockies Hostel.  It is just 5 minutes from the Melbourne Hostel and closer to the Denver International Hostel.  Anyone staying at the InnKeeper?

I'm booked at the Melbourne, it turns out they do have a couple of spots left for the parkour national jam only.  I'll see you all there  :)

Muse, the Innkeeper is 1.6 miles away from the melbourne, so you can either run or I can drop by and pick you up if you would like, it's only a 3 min drive ;)

Thanks Cheetah! That's very generous of you.

Tony, aka DigitalKid, will be at the Innkeeper also and he and his crew offered me a spot in their van. I think it will be more efficient this way since we're all staying at the same place. However if you want to try to coordinate rides/following caravan style, we can definitely do that. Also, depending on who is going where, I may need to hit you up for rides to different places depending on how the schedule works out each day.

In any case, I am super excited to meet you! :D

That sounds creepy  :P

Either way, I dont want to be a bother, and I couldnt really find it in the 9 threads we have for this jam, but its about 40 miles from the airport to the meeting place on friday and I need a ride. is there a bus that takes me straight there, or should I taxi?

Whats so creepy about it? I'm trustworthy! You don't get to be a Firefighter for three years, married for four, and spawn two of the most beautiful babies in the world by not being trustworthy.  I just just offering a friendly hand that would of been extended to any traceur/ess that happened to stay at the Innkeeper too.  If she wanted to simply run or find another ride, it wouldnt have offended me or my fellow crew members, and I made that very clear.

Skipper...there is a bus from the airport to Boulder (The AB line I think???)
Taxi would be faster, but way more expensive

See you Saturday!

Mojo - I arrive at about 2 pm (Friday). I got some useful public transportation tips from Ryan so Im good there.
Digital - Hah, Just kidding man. Every time I hear the phrase "I can pick you up in my van," I see a white and rust colored, 1981 Chevy van with "Free Candy" spray painted on the side. Saw it in a picture somewhere, and have been laughing about it ever since. lol
Monkey - I think thats the one Im taking, Thanks! see you all tomorrow!!!

Hey all!
Just wanted to thank you guys one more time for putting together a truly epic jam.
There were so many skilled Traceurs from all over the nation and everyone was feeding off of the group.
It really was an awesome few days.

I really enjoyed meeting all of you.

Can't wait until next year

Heh. Tony/DigitalKid was a great chauffeur. And he did not offer me any candy. :P

This was definitely the best weekend I've had in a long time. I can't believe how awesomely nice and respectful and helpful people were. This weekend just amazed me, that I could see the best in people, in a group that large, for a sustained period of time. Sometimes I felt like I had 50-100 big brothers watching out for me, and other times I felt kind of like a Cub Scout Den Mother (Muse, do you have a map? Band-aids? Hand sanitizer? Lip balm? Thank heavens for cargo pants!). It was great. That I could go out to an unfamiliar city, alone, and meet up with 100 or so folks I know only through the internet, and feel totally safe the whole time, and have a crazy amount of fun and learning to boot, says a lot about this community.

I am going to try to journal out the whole thing and maybe post it in my training log or in a "Post-COPK jam discussion" thread if there is one.

For now, though, I'm off to see the doctor about this hip.

hey hey hey,
I brought some hand sanitizer too! I can take care of my self just fine, thank you very much! haha

Seriously, best weekend I have had in a long time. I was AMAZED at the talent I saw from everyone. Its worth not being able to get out of my seat on the plane under my own legs' strength.
