Why is there such a divide between the pkcali guys and the parkour.meetup.com/105 guys and the pkcali guys?  Pkcali is over at UCLA having jams and just a couple minutes drive over, the parkour meetup group is having jams in downtown LA literally on the same days.  A friend invited me to the downtown LA one and then I see serafino posting a jam at UCLA.  I'm sure its happened tons of times.

Doesnt make much sense to me... I used to use meetup.com but it costs money. PKCali is a free resource and is specific to Parkour. Perhaps the meetup.com guys stay exclusive as a way of justifying the money they put into organizing their sessions?

I'm not so sure it was intentional. My guess is that a few guys heard about PK, posted an ad on Meetup, and just started going about it that way without even knowing that PK Cali exists. Not that they are necessarily avoiding PK Cali, just that they didn't know they could use it as a resource. Same thing happened up here when a PK Meetup group popped up in Santa Cruz. Once they realized there was a larger existing community the Meetup group dissolved and everyone now posts on SFParkour. SFPK rocks my sh**!

To be clear, Parkour California is not a SoCal exclusive site like this thread title implies...

Our goal is to offer coverage at a statewide level and in fact we do have session info for Sacramento, San Fransisco, San Jose, Castro Valley, and Stockton however not nearly as much as SFParkour which does a great job of community organization and Session coverage in that area.

So if you are looking to connect with people in Northern California SFPK is a great place to start but by all means check out PKCali to get in touch with people across the State!
