Glad to hear you're on the mend Kannagisai! And don't worry about your voice..pirates are dead sexy!

I can't put anyone up that weekend as my parents are in town...but they are psyched to come to a jam and they are always up for a bee soda or two!!

I think the campground is a great idea anyway...all in one place..good community and no one has to drive once you get there!!

Also..just playing the old guy here..we should work on some refreshments of the non-alcoholic kind so some of our non drinking comrades don't think this is just some booze soaked weekend <grin>

I will leave the destinations up to the visiting traceurs...check out the hotspots on COPK. But I would imagine folks would get a kick out of cat fountain and red rocks.....

I love the idea of shirts...

Let me know how I can help!!

Ok, I think that is enough discussion we need to make this an official event...

What: COPK National Jam
Who: Everyone who is welcome. Current estimates at ~50 in-staters and ~25 out of staters including people from The Tribe and west coast.
Where: Denver, Colorado
When: August 10-13
Why: Because its FUN!

Schedule

August 10 - Smaller training sessions, games, challenges, hanging out. Not a "must" attend, but will be going on for anyone who wants a little bit extra out of this experience.
August 11 - Day 1 of the main event. Key locations of Red Rocks, Mines, possible state parks. More details coming soon.
August 12 - Day 2 of the main event. Key location of downtown Denver. More details coming soon.
August 13 - Smaller training sessions, games, challenges, hanging out. Not a "must" attend, but will be going on for anyone who wants a little bit extra out of this experience.

Transportation Methods

- Carpooling with locals

Lodging Availability

- Demon can house a few people.
- Kannagisai can house a few people.
- The rest will ideally all be lodged the same and centralized campground or hostel to be determined.

Other

- Possible free food and drink
- Party/bbq
- COPK shirts for $15 if anyone wants a souvenir of the event.Tongue
- Other games, challenges, etc.
- Lots of other stuff still being planned.

I'm in!

I'll rent a large enough SUV to cart some people around too.

What are the arrangements? Personally I'd love a camping trip (no, not THAT kind of camping trip, I swear) unless it's 90 degrees, then camping sucks and A/C is nice Smiley

Is there a camp area near a river we can play in and rinse off in?
