What is the benefit of registering for this website or the forums, I only want to look around ...
Give us a chance to show you just how deep the rabbit hole goes...
This Parkour website is different than anything else out there. It is setup to be community based and community driven. It is an interactive, living breathing collective for American traceurs. Registered members can submit articles, weblinks, news items, and just about anything else they want to. Registered members can leave comments about stories, news items, opinion articles, almost any content on the site.
We are working hard to bring our online photo and voting systems online. These will allow the community to participate in features like "Picture of the week" ... where the pictures will be chosen 100% by the community vote. Memebers may eventually be able to post their own photo albums and videos to a special section of the site.
Break out of the box
Most communities on the internet consist of a web front-end with a forum based back end, and everything "goes on" in the forums. Flip that upside-down and shake it a bit, this is 2005. This website if a front end community driven content management system with a forum on the back end for discussions. This means that things like User Information will be based on the site, not the forums. User's photo galleries, personal blogs, comments and opinions all become part of this living thing that is the American Parkour community.
One always advances ...
We are looking to change, already! We are always looking for suggestions and user input. A community by definition is made up of the individuals that contribute. Without the individual voice, a community is an empty shell.
Your time is now!
Get involved. Ask how you can help, ask what you can contribute.
