Dieting in conection to fitness training

When following a training regime or program, say going to the gym every other day for a moderate sesion of muscle building...

what should be eaten in a typical day? i am particularly interested in getting a good cardiovascular fitness, making more muscle, body composition, endurance and body core control (equilibrium/balance)

i heard that eating a great amount of protein up to 45 mins after a heavy muscular building work out gets about 12% muscle mass after 6 weeks

please help me out as i am trying to get back into fitness, after a rather problematic situation of health.

I don't know where you're getting the 12% but a mix of protein and simple carbohydrates (sugars) after a workout does help anabolic processes.

There's different types of diets you can go on though so I mean pretty much anything else I say will go into something else. You might want to look into the Zone diet. It's very effective especially for people doing CrossFit which are nearly what your goals are aimed at.

honestly its not that hard. there is no magical food that makes u healthy and gives u everthing u need. u kno what ur good and bad foods are. just eat ur fruits and vegis. protein, grains, dairy

Ideally you should visit a nutritionist to have your metabolic rates calculated, and then set up a diet composition that is appropriate for your metabolism, activity level, and fitness goals.

Otherwise, make sure you are getting a variety of different foods, lots of different sources of protein, lots of different fruits & vegetables, and whole grains. The wider variety of foods you eat, the better the chance you'll get everything you need.
