So here's the deal. The jam is now definitely happening. There are 4 things a giant multi-day parkour jam needs. People, lodging, transportation, and parkour. Everything else is just icing on the cake. We have people, transportation, and parkour. Therefore, lodging is the most pressing issue. Once we get that figured out, we can go crazy on the details. So any ideas on campgrounds/hostels/lodging?

What about we crash where we can Friday Night and Sunday Night and hit a KOA or campground by Golden on Saturday Night using the Tents Kannagisai talked of?

NOTE: IF ANYONE CAN GET AN AMAZING DEAL AT A HOTEL OR HOSTEL OR LODGE PLEASE DISREGARD THE IDEA OF A CAMPGROUND AND HOOK US ALL UP. I know I can discounts at a few Hotels but nothing like what we need. IE: A floor or a wing for $100  ;D

On the note of "Icing" I think food should take a bit of a priority - especially if we're all crashing at the same place and it's a campground.
Previous Prudant Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance

Then for BBQs & Parties, we throw one on Friday @ Kannaisai's (if he's still down), one at the Campground Saturday and one at somewhere else Sunday?

Did a quick search for campgrounds tonight...there is definitely a big campground up in Golden Gate Canyon SP near Golden...

I'll have to dig deeper to find something closer to town(s).

What would be ideal? Nearer to Denver? Boulder? In between? Do we want a nice wilderness area (good views, less noise) or just a place to crash?

Well the bulk of the jam is going to take place at Red Rocks and downtown Denver. Golden Gate Canyon would be a really nice place to camp but it is a 30 min. drive from Golden. I guess just any close campground to crash in would be ideal. The only one I know of is at Chief Hosa which is about 10 min. away from Red Rocks and 25 min. from downtown.

Woohoo!! Finally got the login problem solved! Now I can actually respond!

Alright, so anyway, there seem to be a good number of people here in SF excited about going and making a real effort to get there rather than just talking about it. If we can pull it off you may see upwards of 10+ people from SF out there, and from what I can tell, most are planning on staying the whole time. There hasn't been quite as much interest from PKCali or WAPK (most likely cuz of Faelcind's wedding that weekend), but I'm hoping that'll pick up as the date approaches.

That's all I've got for now, but I'm sure I'll post again as new info comes to light.

Can't wait!  ;D

So, I just looked at flights and I think I'll be able to make it out there.
If anyone has any floor space left could you send me a PM (Kannagisai or Demon)??

Look forward to jamming with you all,

Crosspost from another thread that I don't think anyone reads:

I'd have to persuade my parents, but I don't think it'll be too much of a problem.

I'm in!

Anyone else from the DC area (M2 is the only other one I noticed) want to grab the same flight? I'm in for friday-monday.

It looks like housing is still being worked out, correct?

Yeah guys, we are still working on the housing stuff. Don't worry about it though. Everyone will definitely have floor space, a camping site and a tent, or a cheap hostel/hotel room.

So, I would highly appreciate it to anyone who would be nice enough to save me a parking spot somewhere in downtown close to where the start of the jam is taking place. I hate driving downtown and I get lost so someone help me out...ahem, Demon. (or as I like to call you, Ryan)

Also, I would like to see if anyone is willing to do a handstand pirouette on top of cat fountain in downtown Denver. I believe I have done it the most times EVER, which is maybe 3 or 4 times. Just TRY and beat me, good luck  ::)

Merci

I'm turning 18 in a matter of days and probably moving out in a few weeks, so I no longer have parents to stop me from going.
I just need to to know who the hell is gonna pick me up from the airport, cause I'm coming all the way from New Orleans!
