Make sure to have a rediculous grip...I have seen it done wrong...on concrete.  ITs not fun.  Make sure the person can do a standing back first.  Then it should be a problem as long as you practice in a safe area.

Direct tips.  Person doing flip...dont throw your head back...remember you still have to go up.  Push good with your foot.  Person with the GRIP.  Inner lock your fingers would be the best way to get a good safe grip.

also, the flipper has to be VERY careful not to kick the thrower in the face, so make sure your non-plant foot is a little bit outside the thrower's shoulder to be sure.

having occasionally done this stunt for a few years, i'm gonna have to agree with both previous statements.  i've accidentally nearly tagged my brother in the face, and i've had people who didn't hold their hands together strong enough, such that i only got enough of a step to do a half-rotation...  and land flat on my head.  i still remember that- my neck was stiff for the rest of the day.  seen some people who couldn't do just the standing back, and could successfully pull this one...  sometimes the extra height was all it took to get them around.  still, make sure you practice this on something other than concrete.
Plain and simple- don't think, act.  React.  If you stop to think, doubt sets in.  Then fear.  Then nothing happens.  What's this all mean?  Punch and Go.  Jump.

This definitly means that you are not setting with your arms.  The reason you learn the back flip by yourself first is because you need the experience with rotation upside down so on an so forth...YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW A STANDING BACK TUCK before you do this!
