movin it outside
« on: April 09, 2007, 07:57:46 PM »
k, so i've got front flips down and my backs are nearly there, but i'm not quite sure on how to move them outside so i could say do a front of a 2 foot high wall into some grass or a back off the same wall

I'd say start off if you can by taking an old mattress or some pillows outside.. if you don't have stuff that you can ruin like that though then go with the ledge. However, if they are strong enough inside or in a gym where you sometimes overrotate, you might want to stick with flat ground first. Just be prepared to roll if you overrotated or absorb the impact if you land on your butt.

Nice Adrien (by the way when do you get back) yeah just for the record blocking up onto a little ledge or something makes it much much easier to get the height for your frontflip.  You can do backtucks outside on the grass I've seen you do them fine so don't worry about it.

alright thanks all  :), i'm thinking of using a wooden box in the gym with shoes to see how that works and then doing it outside.  oh and i'm done with school in about 2 weeks  ;D

do it on grass first for sure. the ground is a lot softer than you may think. ive landed on my butt a few times it stings for a bit but not too long. it may take once or twice to get how fast to rotate but once you got it you got it.
"if all your friends jumped off a cliff would you do it too" - my mom "as long as i get a strong safety roll out im up for it" - me.
