At my prime in 9th grade, 6:18. Last time I timed myself, about a year ago (12th grade), it was up to 7:07.

Back when I was like 11 I had a 5:49 mile, but I stopped running for a while.  And I don't like running distance.

5:30 was my best time last year. it kind of suprised me really, parkour was the only real training i was doing before it, certainly no distance running, and beating 6 minutes was just running the speed that i felt comfortable with.
keep it free and true

My most recent/best mile: 6:05 done in September 2006
My most recent/best 5k (3.1 miles): 21:10 in October 2006

I wasn't ever very good at Cross Country, and I got shin splints after that race, putting me out for the rest of the season. Only recently have I began to work up distance, as I've begun implementing toe-heel-toe running. Slowly, I'll build up the distance, and get a new mile/5k time. (Hoping for 5:15-5:30 by the summer, and then 17:30 by the fall Cross Country season.)

My latest timed runs were a 1:02 quarter mile sprint, and a 1:18 quarter mile "pacing for a mile." (Though, I'm pretty sure my calves would kill me before then, and I'd slow down a bit.)

My best mile time was 5:15...  the best thing to do for running faster is to figure out a running training plan follow it and re test your self every 3-4 weeks..

in 6th grade I had my mile time down to 6:00 minutes flat. But it went up since then. now I think it's probably at 7 something. But I have worked on distance running in a different way. I can now run for about 15 minutes before I break a sweat and I can run for a half hour without even feeling tired. But my mile time is in the 7's I'm sad to say. I've got a friend that can run it in 4:50 but he runs close to 100 miles every week just in training.

6 months ago i ran a 4:26, followed by some 65sec quaters. And joining a cross country team is a good idea like it was said earlier, but  there are others things you can do to improve your time. but if you like to drop your time you could probably go to Coolrunning.com and they have an area about training and you could adapt some of the thing to make it for a shorter distance of running to get you where you wont to be. Or you could just start to do some longer running that seems to help to.

Best mile was 7:28 in 7th grade. Last time I ran a mile was 2 1/2 years ago (at 24 years old) and my time was 8:2x. Today I went and ran for the first time since and did about 8/10ths of a mile in 7:26. Next time I'll run the whole thing. I wanna get my mile time down under 7 min. by the end of the summer. Shouldn't be hard. My legs work well enough, but my heart and lungs need work. Gotta build up my red blood cell count to take advantage of the oxygen better.

i am running a pretty consitant mile time it is normally between 5:30 and 5:10 depending on how much i push.  the best way to improve that time is not to just run miiles run 2 miles or 3 miles so you have more endurance and you are able to go alot fster on the mile
