Dash Vault Purposes?
Austin Drueckhammer:
What I would like to understand is how is a dash vault "important" or "useful"?
Nihility:
I like using it to create more forward momentum, IE small run up vault to drop. I think it works better for that personally. It is also good for linking vaults together, because it can be easier to get the foot placement correct. But the biggest use is that it is fun and looks cool.

Yes, this pretty much :P
Also sometimes I like to do it just because it's a very soft and flowy move, taking minimal effort. But yeah doesn't have too many uses compared to the rest..
Gareth EE Field:
dash kong is the fastest two vault combo, the dash is the fastest dismount, and how else would one dash bomb? oh, and if you pass through something feet first and there's an obstacle, seen it with my eyes. good for integrating psoas and lat. dorsi ... increasing what the traceur is capable of and confident in ...
And please someone from NYPK remember LastJump, "Dashes are only good for high obstacles ..."
Conner McGillvray:
