New beginning
(1/1)
Mark:
Hey all, I'm taking a break from lifting to learn some moves and just become a more well-rounded athlete.
First question, where do I start?
What do I need to read/watch first?
What training should I do along side this?
Any stretching I should do?
Basically what are my first steps getting into this?
Thanks in advance!

First question, where do I start? Anywhere you would like. A lot of beginners will need to find a "specific place" to start training. The longer you train, the more your mind will open up to the world and sooner or later the whole world will be your training grounds.
What do I need to read/watch first?

You have already made a good choice by coming here. There are a lot of good topics under learn and train that will teach you how to train correctly and some things you need to start out with. Please, learn the philosophy behind parkour while learning the technical and physical aspects of the discipline.
What training should I do along side this?
Condition your body, lifting weights to become stronger, You shouldn't quit lifting to do parkour, set yourself a schedule for when you should lift/condition and when you should train.
Any stretching I should do? Flexibility is key in most physical activities. Along side of flexibility, stretching reduces risk of injuries like pulled muscles.
Basically what are my first steps getting into this?
You already took the first steps, now lets see if you continue.
