Why in the name of all that is holy would you train for a year straight?

Why wouldn't you?
It's a great goal to go for, and you generally get so much better than you were before by the end of it.
Loads of fun and keeps you fit all year round ;D

I'm doing it right now myself - Started in January, broke my ankle in March playing football so I had to pause until the 10th of this month, and restarted (from Day 1, of course) again.

And by train, they dont mean "go out and bust your balls every single day so your body never heals". take training lightly, work on the small things, And puzzle it all together in the end.

Exactly! We don't train irresponsibly. Some days we go uber crazy and some days we stick to light conditioning, stretching or balance training. Just gotta' be smart about it.

Its a pretty good challenge - theres so much training that needs to be done.  Unfortunately I've had a light shoulder sprain :-[  So a lot of my training is on hold until it heals.  Fortunately I can still run.  Theres always something you can do, I've been practicing balancing much more recently.  I'd also like to learn a wall run, as that was on my " moves to learn" list!

Exactly! Always something you can do. The way I see it is as long as your doing something to benefit your movement then its training worth doing! Even if you spend a week working on plyos or strides and balance.

When I had a Hernia I worked out my Ankles, Wrists and Grip. When I sprained my Ankle I worked on Pull ups, Swinging and core. There is always something you can do.
