Robert's Training Log

Roberto Espinoza Jr.:
I'm starting this journal for the same reasons many others are; to track my progress; so I can see how much I've grown.

I especially want to see how much I can improve in just one summer.

My goals for the end of the summer:
--b]20[/b] pull-ups
--50 push-ups
--30 jumping squats with good form
--30 seconds tuck planche
--10 tuck-planche push-ups
--10 second free standing hand-stand
--5 minute mile

Parkour Stuff:

--"Stick" more precision vaults
--Precision jump 8 feet or more (and I mean precision jump; stick it, excellent form, wonderful landing, etc)
--Make all vaults more fluid, cleaner looking, and more controlled
--Drill a shit load of vaults
--Re-learn to roll on concrete
--Learn to roll over left side
--Learn kongs taking off my left foot
--Use my left (my weaker) leg a whole lot more

Other Stuff:

--Possibly get the front and side splits before getting into tricking
--Develop a more flexible back (perform a bridge from a standing position)

50 push-ups:
20 wide grip
20 close grip
10 diamond

I was going for a hundred but I didn't realize how much those 20 tuck planche push-ups took out of me last night.
I should start working out in the mornings right?
And run mornings too.....Starting tomorrow haha! I wanna be as fresh as possible in my legs for tonight; going to the gym for the first time. Will update later.

Roberto Espinoza Jr.:
We ended up not going to the gym. It turns out that the schedule changed from 8:30 pm to 4:10 pm when school went out; now we're planning on going Wednesday instead.

We trained precision jumps. We did our best to stick them and we stuck most of them. Getting way better at those things haha!

Gio had a bad fail when we clipped his foot on a running precision xD

We trained a cat leap that's about 8 feet from our take-off point. The wall was a bit taller than head height and it was difficult for us to leap it without a running start.....one day xD

I will add broad jumps to my training schedule.....I will post on general fitness for advice on making a training schedule xD

Also trained front flips and rolls a little bit afterwards.

I woke up at 8 today, lurked APK for an hour, and then went to the EPJ:

8:10 mile.....not too good, I did excellent on the first lap and a half, but then I started slowing down a whole looooot! I even had to stop some times because I got winded.....wow

45 push-ups
15 pull-ups (only half of the 30 I wanted to do, but I completely forgot I was doing 6 sets *facepalm*
2 sets of 10 jumping squats (the run took a whole lot more out of me than I thought it would)

This turned out to be more difficult than I thought it'd be.....

I still need to stretch today, will do that later on xD

Now I'm going to eat breakfast:
A couple of eggs, yogurt and granola, and maybe an apple I don't know if we have any.....

Okay so it's 8:10 now. I went to the highschool around 6 to train Parkour. I trained my left foot kongs and speeds, as well as did 5 extra sets of pull-ups to make up for the ones I didn't do earlier haha! I also trained rolls. Puma said they looked like sausage rolls but they feel fine.....still worried about trying them on concrete though so I gotta go find some harder surface that won't hurt me too bad.

I still have to stretch.....

3 min of front split stretching on both legs
3 min of side split
1 min of seal stretch
