Parkour Roll
« on: May 31, 2012, 09:42:00 PM »
Hey. So recently I saw many people doing parkour rolls onto their right shoulder in videos and pictures. I do my rolls onto my left shoulder. Does it make a difference which shoulder/side I roll onto? Thanks for the response.

No I don't think it makes a difference, I roll on my right because I guess I'm right-handed.

Its about what you prefer. as long as you are going from your left shoulder to your right hip, you should be fine. have fun training!

I'm right-handed too yet I roll onto my left shoulder. That's the way I was taught.

What do you mean "going from your left shoulder to your right hip"? Thanks though.

You need to be rolling diagonal across your spine. So if you start on your left shoulder, you need toend up on your right hip.  That's the point of the roll.

this.

rolling on your spine can cause harm to your body, you roll diagonal so you avoid your spine.
