I don't get it  ???
Advice?

Oh, and the first motion is my butterfly kick, not the attempt at the twist until afterwards.

I'm not going to give a lot of advice because I've never done a btwist, but try using momentum steps. You may know what they are, but if you don't, there's a pretty good example of one in a butterfly kick tutorial on YouTube (first one that pops up). Basically you take the same stance you would as if you were about to do one, but instead you're setting up by (in your case) stepping out to the left with your left foot, then pivoting 180 degrees by sweeping your right foot in a counter-clockwise direction. After that you're going to do the same thing again, and with this you should be facing the same way you started, and you've rotated a full 360. Take a hop after you've pivoted, then lift with your leg and push with your leading leg. From there maybe someone else can explain the twisting part :P

Lol, sorry if that's a little too complex. Hopefully you already know how the stepping setup works and if you don't, watching the video will explain pretty quickly and you can figure out which way your momentum's going.

go to a gym and learn frontflip half twists and back fulls on a trampoline. Btwists kind of feel like front flip half twists, and feel exactly like aerial twists, which also feel like frontflip half twists.
I like Tricking and Free Running, i don't think i actually do parkour, because i do it for fun and self expression, which would change the term to free running.

Haha, it's not too complex, I understand :P
I was just told to learn from standing and seen some posts where others say they should do so, because the steps mess up them :/

I can do a front half, and I'm working on my standing full (back). I have my Arabian, not from entirely flat, but from a few mats. I'll try applying the front half concept into it, thanks :)

Lol, thanks. I agree, learning from standing can be a lot simpler/easier, but you need to a fix. I watched the video again and you're sort of generating the power in your bkick in a weird direction. Trust me, I know that feeling when you're coming out of the dip. You might want to either try the momentum steps and see if that helps. Otherwise you're going to have to fix your standing set-up. I'm going to drop the tutorial here for anyone else reading this thread:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibs8RgE9noY

I don't wanna speak too much for you, but I'm guessing that it feels sort of weird to squat down and jump sideways :P. That's basically how much the momentum has to shift when you start facing forward. In my opinion, it helps a lot if you wind up a little bit more. What I mean is that instead of facing forward in the beginning, have your torso facing the opposite direction that you'll be facing when you begin the bkick/twist (refer to video) and dip ever so slightly deeper.

Main points: Try different set-ups and pick your favorite, but of course practice both. And don't forget to LIFT AND PUSH! :)

Your opening up way to early.  Your body is still thinking b kick and your opening up like you would for a b kick.  You just have to not be afraid to do the spin.  Take off into your b kick, then wrap, and hold on tight.  You'll probably land on your side when you commit to the spin, but at least it gives you a feel for the rotation.
Tricking is beast, you should try it.

Okay :/
Thank you for the advice. I think I'll throw them onto a pad at the gym today for open gym... :o

Punch the armpit! Punch the armpit!  ;)

If you commit you can probably learn it pretty quickly. I've seen a lot of people at my gym try it for the first time and get all the way around but land on their knees.

Well of course you're not obligated to exclusively practice btwists until you post a video of you sticking one. Well, actually, you are.  :-Sarcasm

If you feel like you're sucking at butterflies one day and feeling right when it comes to standing fulls, then do standing fulls.

I feel like pulling is gonna be something I don't commit to easily :/

What do you mean, the twist?

And yes sir, the twist :/ I feel like committing to it is gonna be personally hard me to do...
But I have to by the end of this month; that's my goal! :O
So. Any other tips? :)
