No. Kong your legs are up and behind you. Monkey vault I believe is where your knees come to the chest.

Yeah I can't even speed vault over the thing so I'm not going to try and kong it.. It happens to be wider then a picnic table so I'll learn other things first Ok what I'm going to do may or may not end with me busting my ass but I'm going to try speed vaulting over something wider then a picnic table if I fail I won't do anything if I can do it I will try again and upload a video

I caught my leg when I was speed vaulting it I didn't have a far enough out hand position and my leg landed right on the concrete and slid

Sounds like the general theme is you aren't getting your legs/hips up enough. Don't know if it's the same for you, but when I do that it's because I have a confidence issue. I think I'm not going to make the vault, I don't commit so I don't get my legs up, then hit them and fall. What helps me is looking at some tutorials (like the one already posted)and going through the steps.
Passivity is a lie, there is only movement.
Through movement, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain expression.
Through expression, my chains are broken.
Movement shall free me.

Like others have said, you have got to get your feet out behind you and your hip above your shoulders.

This is a confidence thing as well, but, It helps me to close my eyes and visualize my self doing it. I try to see myself from the outside doing it and then I try to see what I'll see while I'm doing it

Kong vaults are like diving into a pool, almost.  Keep your feet, legs, and hips relatively straight behind you.  Your fear of landing on your face will make you tuck those legs in, but you need to trust your hands and arms to push you back to an upright position once you are over the obstacle.

I think picnic tables might be a bit too big for starting out on.  I used brick or cinder block walls about chest height or lower, if I remember correctly.

You also need to make sure you aren't leaving the ground too close to the object you are vaulting.
