Making a video...suggestions? (discussion)
« on: December 21, 2011, 02:44:11 PM »
Ok, first, I know this seems like it belongs in pics/vids, but it ill be more of a discussion than anything, so please don't move it. I will delete it when I finish.

Alright. My friend is getting a sexy new camera for (insert winter holiday here). She has agreed to be my camerawoman, but she would much rather make a video with a plot/story than just movement by itself.

So, any ideas for a story or plot are welcome, and may be as detailed as wanted, with back story or whatever. Have fun, guys! ;D

Thanks in advance.

I strongly recommend that you avoid mixing any genres, ie: "Dramodies," "Thraction," "Romantic Action," (Remember Mr. and Mrs. Smith? Probably wish you didn't.) Chances are if it involves meshing two different worlds that can't be related to by the public it's going to be received poorly.

If you need movie idea, brainstorm!

Setting: 2013 ADHD, Post-apocalyptic hell-hole, where engines have lost meaning, and the only survivors are traceurs, capable of out performing their hunters, a race of self-glorified ex-military nuts exposed to experimental performance-drugs.

The hunters are few, and the trophies are even less. Can Ryan Coker lead his group of nocturnal traceurs, Team Slither to a future of consistent safety, or will the maniacal Mantis and his fellow hunters collect and mount their trophies? The Groups are leveled thanks to the performance drugs, but these have their drawbacks, they only work for a set period of time, and with supplies slowly thinning within the grasp of Mantis, Ryan Coker and his friends hope to hold out long enough proficiently out-perform their predators. The Mantis knows that time is precious, so he's sealed off the area with a deadly barrier of armed guards willing to shoot if Slither members escape...

Story goes on to show that most of Slither dies, and that Mantis gives up chasing down Coker since supplies have dried up.
