A speed vault is just a slight variation of the lazy vault. Remember when you brought your hips up to the one-side before throwing your hands back, then you swinged your legs up and over as you pushed away? It the same concept, but this time your hand placement acts more like a stabalizer.

Approach like a lazy vault, but when you plant your hand always go with the outside hand. Build your muscle memory by practicing the motion from stepping into the speed vault up until your bringing your legs up to the side. It's essentially a speed vault because the only thing getting you over is your speed and the height of your jump. Your arms truly have no bearing on the jump other than balance itself.

just copy that, and don't lean back at all when you do the move.

also Safety vault = Speed vault with 1 foot on the object you are vaulting.

A lot of people do safety vaults on accident while attempting their first speed vault, it's a natural reaction to put your foot down.
I like Tricking and Free Running, i don't think i actually do parkour, because i do it for fun and self expression, which would change the term to free running.

Have to agree with Mr.WWII regarding your last question.
Adam posted a great tutorial that should cover the technique. Just wait until tomorrow, and give it a try. You'll see that it is really easy, and you'll know the take off distance naturally depending on the situation and obstacle.

Good luck there!

So what are you going to do when you run out of moves to learn Daniel?

Are you going to quit parkour because you have no one to learn from, or are you going to begin on learning your own style of movement?

Nobody knows how many feet you have to jump from, and those kind of specifics. It's just something you have to practice and get the feeling for, then your body will know exactly what to do. Plus it's different for everybody.

How many feet before the obstacle you take off depends on how much speed you have. More speed = more distance. Judging by the fact that you're just learning the movement itself, I can tell you that you don't want to be working with too much speed yet. Just a jogging pace. Don't worry about measuring distance, just jump at it when it naturally feels good.

And remember, your body is your own best teacher. The best way to learn is to go out, practice, do it tons of times and you'll progress much faster that way, than by watching any amount of tutorials or asking questions.

It's great to ask questions and gain some knowledge, but knowledge is the foundation and practice is the sustenance. You need both!

Practice lots, train hard, and good luck.

Daniel, I strongly suggest you finish filling out your book of movements, or in other words get quite excellent at them. When you have you will be able to develope a style unique to you and then, maybe then Urban Current would consider taking you in. You have to understand that some parkour teams have prerequisites that they desire you to fulfill before you're able to be considered. Team Tragen requires that you only be invited, then pass a majority vote, followed by the running of our "gauntlet." You pass all of this you're in, followed by three sessions weekly and paying your dues once a month (twelve pack of Sprecher). Chances are if you lived close enough to me, and I saw what you could do, then I might consider inviting you, but there is no chance of this.

Essentially what I'm trying to say without boring you is that you gotta focus on yourself before you focus on yourself.

It's hard to tell from you lack of punctuation, but I think you're saying you push off your right leg, but then have a hard time getting it over the obstacle (and I'm assuming you're placing your right hand on the obstacle)? If so, follow the progression in the Urban Current tutorial Adam already posted earlier.
Repetition is key. If you make it so you don't even have to stop and think about the beginning step (in your case: Land right hand and left foot on obstacle, then swing take-off leg though and land) then as you progress from shifting your weight on the obstacle from hand and foot to just hand, your realize that swinging the take-off leg through has already become muscle memory.

Most importantly, follow Adam's advice and practice. You'll be hard pressed to get advice from anyone better.
Passivity is a lie, there is only movement.
Through movement, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain expression.
Through expression, my chains are broken.
Movement shall free me.
