I got this book about a week ago, and am still digesting it.

The information in there is gold, no doubt about that, the problem I think with it is that it is a LOT of information presented, with arguments on the advocated methods.

This is great, but it could bog down the reader with a lot of details. Since it is aimed at beginners, this might be overwhelming for some.

Critiques aside, I'm learning a lot from the book, as I have from reading your posts on this forum for 2 years. Thanks a lot for everything you've done, I have no doubt this book will be important in my training arsenal for years.

Yeah, Ryan was mentioning that to me.

I think in the next edition I'm going to compile the chapter summaries in addition to the "stop" to construct sections and put that near the beginning as a simple "how to for newbies"

And then from there, build the rest of the book with more details for the whys and hows and whatnot for the intermediate and advanced trainees

Thanks for the feedback -- shoot me some more when you're done completely and don't forget to submit a review. :)

As with most good books, you will likely have to read it multiple times.

I understand that ha, the truth is it is so dense that I will have to study it.

Might comment more once I go through more of the book. Cheers guys, I'm honored to be of service.

Yeah, I'm going to be writing up a novice guide since I've gotten that from some of the feedback.

Basically, if you're confused right now, just reading the chapter summaries + the stop sections for how to construct the routine is good for now.

We want to thank anyone who has posted up a review on Amazon.  We have 9 so far, and most of them are 5 stars!  We are always excited to hear feedback, so let us know what you think.  The best thing to do is to post is on Amazon, though, so everyone in the world can see it.

If there is anything that you want to post that you don't want to put on Amazon, you can put it here or email me.  We are so happy with how things have been going with the book so far, and we owe a lot of that success to the APK community!

I just got it and I've been reading through it.  I'll also have the other coaches at the gym check it out too.  Although they can be a bit overly traditional, it helps to get many perspectives.  One is a CSCS who also coaches and competes in Oly lifting, so I'm especially interested in her input.
