Karma is back
« on: October 12, 2011, 12:17:37 PM »
If you haven't notice you can rate a person by [+1] or [-1] and it shows below there avatar. Karma really does nothing, but I do remember it caused some controversy a year or two ago in the forums.

So when did karma come back and what do you think about it?

I'm the reason it got taken away. Hence my custom title.

I killed karma once before.
I shall kill it again.

I find it plain out useless. This forum should be about helping other traceurs and getting help, not karma.

I never had a problem with Karma. I quite enjoy it.

I do. I EARNED that karma by threatening Leon Medoros'(sp?) life. It also shows that karma is pointless. Also, I only pay attention to the positive karma. Typically, I can figure out which post earned it for me. That helps me know if somebody learned something to help them or just put a smile on their face.

As stated a looooong time ago, if you have an issue with someone's post and feel the need to give them "negative karma", man up and write a post saying why. We can't learn if people aren't willing to explain.

I've never really experienced it on this site, but it could be fun.

Yeah, the system has the values stored indefinitely, the feature was just disabled.

Also like in the thread in the PK/FR, the [+1] and [-1] needs to be switched. I went to give someone a +1  and there negitive count went up one. o.0

I think there's something wrong. I just +1 a person, but his status went from "+0/-0" to "+0/-1". Yes, I clicked the one of the right [+1].
And I got another -1 even though I don't think I pissed anyone off.

Needs fixing? I think so. :P

karma is fun. And for the most part, save the wangs trying to be funny and negativing everyone as a joke, the karma allows people to see how their doing in the community.

There is a grace range due to the [-1],[+1] but still... point stands to an extent
