Day 26/Week 4 - 9/23/11:

Today i trained with my friend Nathan. We started out with a good warmup and i wanted to try a wallflip off a tree. I have done a wallflip off a tree before, but this was over summer and then i broke my toe a few weeks after my first wallflip so i havent done a wallflip outside in a few months. But anyway i did some timers and i was too scared so ill practice those in the gym for a little bit along with backflips, then hopefully ill land a backflip and a wallflip outside. (ive never done a backflip outside yet)
We both did a decent frontflip off a wall over a bush and i did a rail precision also. We didnt do much today but tomorrow we have a little demo at a childs fair, so that will be cool.

Next week i hope to land a wallflip and backflip outside and get corks on flat ground!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks jimmy, good luck with the rest of yours too. And month 9 was awesome especially the beach ending.

Day 27/Week 4 - 9/24/11:

Today i did a parkour demo at a small fair. It went great. We all had a good time and everyone watching loved it. I did some front and side flips, vaults, kong precisions, and wall runs. Then went  a park and did some more flips. I also learned that super man flips are not meant to be done static, or standing, as i tried one off monkey bars and landed straight on my ass. Front tucks are better for static lol.

Overall a great day of training.  ;D

Day 28/Week 4 - 9/25/11:

Today was the last day of Week Four and the last day of Month One!!!
Ill be making the video for week 4/month one tomorrow.

Things i accomplished in one month:

-Flips off high stuff, being around 10 feet.
-Backflips (i had done backflips off small stuff in the gym, but i would land in almost the same spot, and now i re-learned how to backflip and can backflip off stuff!. But still yet to do one outside, but will definitly do it very soon.)
-Wall side flip. (not done outside, but will soon)
-Corks (off a step up, working on flat ground. They are my main priority right now.)
-Tunnel flips. ( i actually landed one outside)
-forward and backward hip-circles
-Much bigger precisions
-The Ives Hall catleap

And improved all around in parkour and freerunning.

Today I practiced some frontflips into sand and they are much better now. I get a lot more height than i used to. I also was helping out my friend Will with them too, hes getting a lot better all around also.
I went home and watched some cork videos and worked on the j-step.

Also, don't do the Ives catleap.  The risk of busting the glass and bleeding out is greater than the reward of doing it again.  Also, what if someone else wants to be like you, but they bust the window, get hurt, and parkour gets banned at SSU.

Otherwise, continue being awesome.

Let's cork tomorrow night!

Yeah i've only done it once, and realized i shouldnt do it again.

And yes corks tomorrow night! I have been working on a different set-up that i have seen a majority of the best trickers do. So hopefully ill make a lot of progress tomorrow.

Day 29/Week 5 - 9/26/11:

Worked on flips today at R park. Did some front flips flat, off rails, and off monkey bars. I really wanted to do a backflip today but was too scared again. So tomorrow at the gym im gonna spend a few minutes on backflips, and make sure to backflip a few times off a wooden box and do it onto something other a mat. Then spend the rest of time doing corks. Which i above already said ive been working on a new set-up that i think will help out a lot.

This week my goal is to get backflips outside, and improve on corks, land one flat ground, and possibly one into sand!.

Saweet!  I think I'll sack up and try some with you tomorrow night, muahahahaha!  I'll even work backtucks with you. ;)  You'll laugh when you see how bad mine are.  Just remember, it ain't easy learning this stuff when you're closer to 40 than 20.

Day 30/Week 5 - 9/27/11:

First off sorry month one hasnt been uploaded yet. Its fully edited but my computer is really slow so it will take a while to upload and ill have to wait till tomorrow!

Anyway i trained at the gym tonight and i worked on corks and backflips. I made some progress with corks, i get way more height than i used to, plus im setting good with my arms, but im still landing with my hands on the ground because now im not following thorugh with kick. I think its because of the fact that i changed set-ups that now i need to practice kicking from it. because the old set-up i used to do i would follow through. But now i get way more height so thats good and tomorrow if i can follow through with my kick i think i will definitly be landing them flat this week. Ive been practicing the set-up in my backyard every night too.
Also in the last few minutes i worked on backflips and did some off a block then moved to off a wooden box. I can do them off a wooden box straight to the floor which is good because i could do the flip well i was just scared of flipping off something hard. But now im over that fear so i want to try a backflip off a bench tomorrow.

     Good night of training.

Day 31/Week 5 - 9/28/11:

Today i spent about half an hour standing on top of a bench. Just standing their, and thinking..... am i going to backflip off this. The answer was no. I didnt, because i was too scared. But i did go to the gym tonight i practiced corks a majority of the time, and tomorrow i think im going to try them off stuff. Mainly i need to swing my kicking leg all the way through and over my shoulder, if i can fix that i think ill be landing them flat very soon.
I also worked a little on backflips, and gainers. I tried a running gainer into pit with a spot, yes i got spotted. The first one wasnt that good but the second one was a lot better. Made progress today.

Day 32/Week 5 - 9/29/11:

Today i went to the gym and trained for a while. First hour i worked on precisions and second hour i worked on corks, a little bit of backflips and wallflips.
So corks i get the spin pretty good, and most of the time i get decent height but now i barely kick. For some reason when i do them even if i try to kick i just dont, so ive been watching a lot of videos and practicing the kick in my backyard. Hopefully next week ill make a lot of progress.
I also worked on wallflips and improved a lot, also i did my first wall inward-side attempts. I had a spot from Christian and the first attempt was bad, but every attempts after that i landed on my feet, but then just fell because i wasnt used to landing the way i did.

Even though im glad i improved on wallflips and backflips, and that i did wall inward sides, i still dont feel accomplished about any of that. I think their pretty cool, but right now all i really want is to be able to land corks well.

Day 33/Week 5 - 9/30/11:

Tonight i practiced cork set-ups in my backyard for a while. I worked on a lot of stuff, but right now my main focus is kicking up and over my shoulder. Thats my main problem right now. Been watching a lot of cork videos to and trying to mimic the set-up. And also not to rush the spin to soon, i need to wait a little more to set with my arms and start the kick when my drivving leg hits the ground. Really motivated to improve corks right now. Thats my main priority.

Day 34/Week 5 - 10/1/11:

Tonight i went to park and started off with a good warmup. Then i was going to try a backflip, but it was starting to get dark, and i decided i should try one at a better time. When i got back to my house, i watched some cork videos and drilled the set-up for a while.

Day 35/Week 5 - 10/2/11:

Today i trained at SSU with some people. I did some tic-tacs and some pretty big gaps. Did a running jump that was about 14 steps with about a 1 foot drop. Also did a tic tac then fron flip off. Went to a park and worked on flow runs for a while. Then i practiced getting distance with frontflips, and worked on tunnel flips for a while. I almost landed a few but a lot were really bad. But ive never really practiced them that much.

Overall a good day of training.

Aww sorry dude it was late sunday, but next time ill tell you ahead of time!

Day 36/Week 5 - 10/3/11:

It rained all day today so i couldnt do much outside. I made good use of my balance board in my backyard tho and worked on a few things. First i worked on cork set-ups, and then i worked on 360 precisions, and i think i improved a lot. I also worked on pop 360's. Im not quite sure how to do them, but i can hook kick, and i can jump 360 so im just trying to combine the two. Next time ill do some when its light outside so i can film them to see what they look like.
Also just for fun, i worked on backward precisions for a while. And then i worked on backward 360 precisions which arent as hard as i thought they would be.

Didnt train for that long because of the rain, but a productive night.
Im going to start making my sessions more productive. I need to write down what my weaknesess are before i go out and train, and adress what i dont work on that much and i need work on that. Also need to progress further on what im already good at. If im good at something, (say a certain flip) their is no point in me just doing that flip off different stuff but not really making progress. So when i am working on stuff im good at im going to try and progress to adding in stuff like height. distance, over gaps, and so on.

Day 37/Week 5 - 10/4/11:

Today i went to the gym and worked on a lot. For a little bit i worked on corks.
I'm at the same point where i left off with corks. I set and get spin and sometimes i even land them, but i literally dont kick at all. So i decided to work on other things, but im going to have to try new things to get my used to kicking.
Also worked on wallflips off a flat wall, i got a lot better at them and they are way more consistent now. And also worked on backflips and got better at them too. I was working on backflips with less drop so i had to focus more on going up instead of leaning back.
Then i worked a little bit on back-fulls and improved on those too. Im leaning back way to much but still im getting a pretty good spin. Need to work on jumping on and doing the spin with my body more straight.

Overall a good night of training, but still im going to focusing on finding a way to kick in my spare time.

Day 38/Week 5 - 10/5/11:

Trained at the gym today. Worked a little bit on wallflips, backflips, and backfulls. Progressed to doing backflips and layouts off something about 6 and a feet high which is the highest thing ive backflipped off. Also worked a little more on backfulls, and i did a flyaway off the low bar. Tomorrow i thinkg im going to work a lot on backfulls and try and progress to them onto a porta-pit off the high wall.
Also im going to start working on pivot gainers, or basically a j-step-pivot gainer, to work on the kick then go back to corks to land them!!

           Great night of training.
