MNPK Duluth Jam 2011
« on: May 19, 2011, 05:20:24 AM »
Come one come all to the beautiful tourist trap known as Duluth, MN for an exciting weekend of parkour.
June 24th - 26th, 2011
I will be updating this page with more information as the date approaches.  I am also planning to schedule a "Leave No Trace" trash pick-up and hopefully get the local news to promo us a bit as well.  Be ready to come train, have fun, and hopefully meet some new faces.  Any age or training level welcome.  Thank you and I hope to see you in Duluth.  ;D

If you plan on coming later this summer Scared Doggy just let me know.  I also just added the Duluth Jam as an event on Facebook.  I obviously don't know everyone so if the people I invited can send invites to let others know I would appreciate it.  The event will help me figure out a better head-count of who all is coming. Thanks

Ok I certainly will! And chances are very high I'll travel to Duluth for parkour some time in July. Thank you.

Carcass, thanks for hosting a really solid jam.  When I die, I hope the "stairway to heaven" looks just like the one over by the shore.  Plus, there's no one to bother you, save passers-by promising ice cream for flips and then sneaking off.  The falls were beautiful and refreshing.  Skinny, thanks for spotting my pet monkey as she was going up that rock face.  You can't turn your back for a minute (which I did).  I hope your shoulder is doing better.  Thanks *everyone* for helping me with the wall run, and Chad, thanks for the muscle-up training tip, I really appreciate having something to work on.
By the way, for Ku Yung:
http://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/eh/food/code/index.html
That's the official "food code" and there is no requirement about hamburger.
However, there is a recommendation that you cook to 160F any ground meat:
http://www.health.state.mn.us/foodsafety/foods/hamburger.html
This does not apply to steaks, just ground meat.
160 is about Medium.  The waitress was arguing 170+, which is nigh on inedible to my tastes.

I hope you all enjoyed the jam and if you for some reason don't remember what happened or just weren't there here's what went down.
