aaron, i know a good bit about patellar tendinitis. we should get together some time and assess it. i can pretty much say for sure the root issue is your lack of hip mobility (we have talked about this and i know you were working on it). when your hips are not able to achieve a full range of motion, you will compensate by bending more at the knees and/or taking more pressure with the quadriceps which turns into the patellar tendon.   the first, most important, and most annoying step is rest.  you need to find some way to stop anything that makes it hurt and focus more on upper body movement or whatever until it is healed up enough to start some corrective exercises.

that is probably good advice. i have been working on stretching and doing that flat footed squat (sometimes with the help of a doorway) I bought a knee brace that i wear whenever i train but I still have pain sometimes. Full rest isnt entirely an option because i work retail and I stand pretty much all day.

I have been trying to run into "the group" more but my schedule just hasn't allowed it. Still looking forward to hitting edmond on a sunday.
can you hit me at 918-348-2643 sometime? changed phones, lost numbers. thanks!
