I bought my wife an Otep CD and a dozen roses, the real question is what are you going to do for Saint Valentine's Day? Man up, tell me baby.

BTW, V-day is Veteran's Day, just because a randomly assorted dumb-ass calls it V-day doesn't mean you should. It isn't Valentine's Day, it's Saint valentine's Day, which is actually a catholic holdiay corporately whored by the greeting card industry; to be politicly correct they say valentine's Day to spare the feelings of non-Catholics. Don't get me wrong, I'm not Catholic, I just like the facts.

 I call it VD day because people have sex on this day. In doing so they spread there vanerial disease's.

 I'm single this year; So, me and all my female and male single friends are going to the Bar then seeing a violent movie then going to Dave & Busters and getting purdy lit. After that I'll probably enjoy some late night "Why not" sex with a friend or/and a random stranger.

 There were actually 2 Valentines. Valentinus who married young soldiers under the rule of Claudius the 2nd I think, who thought unmarried men were better soldiers. One was a Christian prisoner in Rome thought to have fell in love with his jailers daughter. He is thought to have received the first VDay card. "To my Valentine" .

Catholicism honors a very loose variation of both these men and others. As well, Ancient Romans thought February 14th was the day Doves Mated which is why it is set on this day.
