What inspires you?
« on: June 22, 2012, 09:34:17 PM »
I've been in a little slump with reality lately, facing a lot of tedious tasks and boredom. So I've been wondering, what inspires you? In terms of inspiration, it can be for parkour, or fore whatever things that inspiration can be taken in.

For me to start off, despite that I tend to have a lot of ups and downs. Watching humble parkour training videos, music, looking up to my heroes such as Bruce Lee, David Belle, Gene LeBell, and fictional characters such as Sherlock Holmes and House because of their defiant, eccentric, yet genius approaches towards finding solutions. Also, strangely enough, I sometimes get inspired by what seems to be the opposite, just observing life in nature.

(That'd be cool if this is a sticky, but if not that's cool, though I just like to see things from as much perspectives as possible.)
"The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action." -Bruce Lee

For me personally its good music and a strong will, giving up is not an option.
But really it can be anything, watch some good pk vids, or just think of sometime in your life you did something you thought you couldnt do. Be cocky, but not arrogant.
Any sound can shake the air, my voice shakes the heart. Any tree can drop an apple, but I'll drop the freakin moon.

I like climbing to high places, and then just sitting still and letting the rest of the world forget I am there. I mostly do this in natural locations. Animals act much different when they don't feel threatened in any way, you might get some ideas from them. Then try following a squirrel. Not easy, let me tell you.
