It turns out that the weights just threw off the natural physics of the front hand spring and the front flip on ground level. Those were the tricks that I though would be greatly improved by adding weight but What ended but happening was once the weight got over my head it wouldn't continue it's momentium and my muscles had not control over the weights thus throwing me off my rotation.
I beileve that the tricks were performed in good enough form to say that adding weights will only though off muscle memory but I suffered no ill effect from doing these.
