As long as you're learning the what and whys that's fine.

You make it seem like he just tells you what to eat and you just are following blindly. That's bad

On the same boat, I could give a shit less about the animals lol. I just really don't like the texture and taste of some meats. Last year with the start of parkour I also started eating chicken. My advice
  • Nuts
  • Protein Shakes
  • If you need more nutrients, look at Ensure drinks
  • Fish oil (Pill form if you dont want the taste
http://www.eatmoveimprove.com/2011/01/vegetarian-protein-source/

this helped me when i had questions about Vegetarianism..

Thanks guys!!  I appreciate the input.  I do protein shakes already... I have 8oz of soymilk and a scoop of whey at breakfast and again at lunch... I'll have to look into fish oil and I've got some other soy supplements to help with protein... I'm always adding flax seed to my yogurt and protein shakes... trying to make sure that any solid meal has some sort of tofu or egg in it... still eating tuna packets on occasion and some tuna steak.... I think I'm off to a good start...

Ok then maybe I should say he teaches me how to eat nutritionally... I would be lost without him, but he is an educator and I like to learn :-)

I have to go with a secondary savior- soymilk... I'm lactose intolerant

So I know the drama is going to rain down from all the paleo eaters out there, but I HATE meat.  Seriously.... this is an issue that I've had for the last 28 years.  I hate hate hate hate hate it! I eat some on occasion, but more often than not I have to gag it down & force myself to keep it down.  I don't like the taste or the texture.... I don't like milk or cheese really.... eggs are acceptable... turkey sausage is ok... my answer to this in the past has always been excessive amounts of starches.... that's not a good option & got me to a very bad... very fat place.  I have worked my butt off (literally) to drop about 60lbs & go from.a 16 to a 6... I'm so close to being fit & firm... I have a really firm core but its covered by what's left of my tummy fat... Joe keeps telling me abs are made in the kitchen & the only method I can see for healthy eating is vegetarian with some occasional meat consumption like turkey sausage & tuna steak... I want/need opinions.... what do you guys think?
dude you cant eat spaggeti or sloppy joes or any thing can you handle beans and stuff like that

Add come chicken to that salad  ;)

I couldn't do it. for me, i love it to much. i prefer the taste of meat over veggies. But thats just me. I'm just happy your not "the poor cow died for your satisfaction. how do you feel about that." (answer is satisfied, dur)
But it is pretty cool to see how it can be done for those who dont have a taste for it. Like my little sister, she doesnt mind meat, but would pick veggies given the chance. She just likes the taste better. She could eat a salad every meal and be ok with it. And since i do a lot of the cooking I'd like to make stuff she really likes and still fits in with the right nutrients.

???

It's in reference to fb... plus this is so necro'd at this point... once I decided to stop trying to tone up and actually start putting on muscle I gave up being a vegetarian... I still hate meat, but I eat it.... not too much chicken though... YUCK
