Aches and Bruises

I've been trying to do some parkour on my own now for a couple weeks, and I'm coming along.  After a few days, I started hurting in my elbows and to a lesser extent, my shoulders and wrists.  I think the source would be my attempts at a kong vault and a dash vault.  Is this okay, or is it my technique, or my strength-to-weight ratio (about 120 bench to 190 lbs. I know, it's low)?

In my case it took two overuse injuries for me to realize that I need to condition my body before taking big jumps.
