So, I was at an indie-rock show in the on a broken down barn of a collective farm in Santa Rosa a few years ago. At the end of the second night, the singer from the headlining band was bantering between songs.

"Name something awesome you've done lately," he said. The room was silent. I really wanted to shout all the things I'd done in that week: ballet, surfing, parkour, etc. Then I remembered this was an indie rock show, and as much as I love the music, these hipsters would either think I was being ironic, or be hateful because all they do is drink, smoke, and trim their ironic mustaches. In the end I said nothing, because I didn't really want to get into with these people.

Anyway... we're not hipsters, right? We do awesome things every day. Name something awesome you did today.

I'll start: I worked on my awesome nunchaku skills.

Ha ha ha...I might have been spinning a set of lightweight Kama around, trying to get one of those "over the top XMA style double-spin and hand switch" catched when my fiance' came in and was like, "What are you doing."

committing to getting everything in my life straight and back to how it was 4 months ago. Im gonna start going back to the gym, start my diet, quit smoking(the other stuff), and im done drinking. i also plan on training daily, specifically in my vibrams because i want to get back to the basics. this isnt going to be easy but i'll be much happier.

Nick, I must thank you. You've just given me the idea I needed to fix my temporary plateau. I gotta re-master my precisions in vibrams, and the rest will follow suite.

Thanks Brett, that means a lot. Also... Isn't that Beretta... Or are you Beretta? I've been wanting to ask you that since you put that picture up.

Not to get off-topic, I'm doing BW exercises throughout today in the hopes that it will help rehab my back... I'll probably put a question about that in GF later today.

Also, my shirt has been off today and I saw myself in the mirror, this may be the first day I noticed a slight split in my abs... All the hard work and training is starting to pay off. Is it purely a physical aesthetic? Sure. But it's also a great boost to my confidence, especially after I took such a beating from hurting my back and having to lay around for a month. Feeling like your progress is getting reversed hurts the mind, so I'm glad I noticed that.

It was actually yesterday I did it. I nearly, very nearly did a monkey vault for the first time. I got so glad I started singing "I feel good nanananananana..."

I rode my bike along the river today and I climbed a tree over the river, my thinking spot is what I call it. Was very relaxing.

Lol... yup, I am Beretta. I tried to change names on SFPK too, but they wouldn't let me, said it fit me too well. Which is funny, because I'm not into guns at all... just had a roomie years ago that called me that.

Awesome thing I did today: sprinting while pushing a kid in a red wagon, then letting him go to coast to a stop on the grass. Also, watched Return of the Jedi, and the Wizard of Oz, and sang songs about the things I was doing as I did them. I work in an after-school program with children who have developmental disabilities and I do my best to make my life, and theirs, a musical.

during my free today, i went into the gym with my friends
wall ran up to grab a bar (behind a basket ball hoop), then lache style i swung back, released, and grabbed the rim.
then as i was hanging there my friend threw a ball up i alley oop'd it
