A Blanc Slate - Exploration And Training Log
« on: January 18, 2011, 06:40:10 PM »
Hey all! I'm trying to take a more touch-and-feel approach to training; meaning I want to find other ways than the traditional check the list style training many have been doing. I want to assure myself that I perfect all techniques I'm working on. I really want to slow down and strengthen myself, progressing far more slowly. Have to remember I'm doing this for life, not for show.

2011 by June Goals:
10 kipping pullups with 20lbs extra weight
Squats with 140lbs (Attain rack and bar)
2 Muscle ups
5 climb ups
More later.

0118112138 mo dd yy hr mi

Dive bomber pushups (M)ax (E)ffort
Clap PU ME
Squats ME (Well, really until I was bored. I need a way to make them weighted!)
Dumbbell play
Calf raises
A little stretching

Notes: Just trying to get used to my body moving again. Been doing that for the past couple of days.

Two sets of:
11x Dive bomber PU
61 sec x Plank hold
15 x Squats (I feel bad for neglecting lower body. Hopefully the ice will melt soon, and outdoor training will be easier.)
20x Samson stretch
8x Pseudo-planche diamond PU

Followed by one set of:
2 min x Jump tucks+landing form

Notes: Feels good to get back in the swing of things. Hopefully I'll be able to make some gymnastics rings, kettlebells, and other stuff tomorrow. (Quickcrete and PVC for the win, eh?) Drawing plans up now.

Two sets of:
5 x Dive bomber PU
75 sec x Plank
20 x Calf raises holding 20lb dumbbells in each hand
20 x Squats with 25lb dumbbells in each hand
10 x Diamond PU

Notes: Stomach felt terrible. I wanted to focus more on lower body. Some form of cardio this weekend, found an empty and flat clearing in the forest. It's pebbled, but not a trail. Looks almost like a road. Tried PPPU, but they felt really awkward on my wrists, I couldn't get my arms where comfortable.

"Rest" day. Feeling tired, losing track of time.

Little stuff here and there. Mostly flexibility.

Nature "training." Really light day. Need to work on climbups/muscle ups. I can do dips today, but most of my training will have to be at night/very early morning.
