Honestly im just a normal teenager dietary wise. I eat whats cooked xD we do eat nice amounts of beans and potatoes because they're a cheap source of a meal. and workout wise, i do varying amounts of pushups, situps, and pullups per day. earlier today i ran 3 miles and it felt great so im probably going to start doing that.

If you want to gain weight you've got to eat more. I know, you think you're eating constantly. You aren't. Get more protein, get a bunch of carbs immediately post-workout. Start lifting. Sorry but pushups, situps, and pullups together is not a workout. Lift heavy things, squat, eat more, gain weight.

With the milk, I would say suck it up and drink it anyway. I find olive oil shots revolting but they help.

I know my "workout" is horribly lacking, but its better than some.
and about milk, would it be just weight gain? or actually help with muscle?

You need a caloric excess to gain anything. If you're getting enough time under tension, enough stress on the muscle; enough food for an excess; and sleep then you will grow.

I've been drinking over 1,000 calories of olive oil some days. Drink more milk or DRINK OLIVE OIL. I'll have a big guy come punch you in the face until you drink olive oil.

Do you just get used to the nasty taste?

kind of. It'll always be nasty but you get use to it. Just do small shots for now.

I remember my first time taking a tablespoon. It was really nasty. You'll learn to think "It's really nasty but to get better you have to make some sacrifices."

I don't mind them now but I don't know if I'll ever really enjoy them.

Talking about olive oil reminds me of Dave Tate talking about eating an extra large pizza with olive oil soaking it.

Is the extra amount of fat in there really good for you?

And kinda-on kind-off topic but is it necessary to put on weight in order to gain muscle? I don't really understand that. I get the need for more calories, but I don't see purposely gaining weight

Hmm.. Well I know mono-unsaturated fats are better for you than saturated or trans-saturated, but is the extra fat needed at all?

Hmm.. Well I know mono-unsaturated fats are better for you than saturated or trans-saturated, but is the extra fat needed at all?

Trans = horrible.... do not occur in nature.... highly disease inducing
Saturated = good, generally -- lard, ghee, pemmican (w/ meat), butter, etc. animal fats are all generally good especially if from grass fed. Coconut, avocado = good
Monos = good, generally -- olive oil is the most prominent
Polyunsats = depends on what... with modern diet omega 3 are generally good, omega 6 generally bad. vegetable oils (soybean, safflower, sunflower, canola, etc.) generally bad
