yeah i understand where you are coming from it just bothers me that if someone were to say the n-word in a thread then everyone would jump on their case, but if someone says fag then no one seems to care.
maybe if a moderator see's it being used just send a quick message to the person and say, in so and so thread you said this word, could you please avoid from using this language because it is offensive
and yes i know about the origin of the word faggot, but thats completely irrelevant because it doesn't matter where the word comes from it's the association and connotations that come with the word. and i guarantee that no one means its original definition when they call someone a fag
and i can write out the other words because they are just as offensive and the point i was and am making is that if someone was to call someone a n-word or a k-word or any other term like that, everyone would jump on their case, but i see fag thrown around a lot on this forum and no one seems to care, so if people aren't going to jump on others for calling them fags then there should be no need to jump on others for other derogative use
im not trying to be destructive here, i just don't think it is right, and i know its the internet, but if there is going to be other words that are not allowed to be said, then we shouldn't exclude faggot
