I Think a frontflip is easier to learn.
you should learn frontflip, backflip, then sideflip.
I like Tricking and Free Running, i don't think i actually do parkour, because i do it for fun and self expression, which would change the term to free running.

I only know the frontflip, ,so I'd say that's easier.

I've heard it: Side, front, then back. I think it must be a personal preference above most things.
But I can't talk much - I can't do any of them  :-\
They're some goals for 2011  :)

If I had to make up an order to learn/work on them, it'd be front, back, then side. Backflips are the easiest physically, IMO, but they scare people. Fronts are less scary. Once you can do all three, sides are easiest I think.

QFT this is absolutely true!!
There is no reason to have a plan B, cause all it does is distract from plan A

Agreed 100%
in the end, sideflips take the least amount of energy to do

If you think it's possible for you to land one of these, try it.

I can do a backflip off of something 2ft off the ground, but, gonna take gymnastics so I can perfect my flips.

I heard sideflips were easier but I think they're only easier when you get them down... frontflips are the easiest to go for cuz they aren't very scary in my opinion

yeah i just cant figure out the block and snap into a tuck yet.

just recently learned back flips pretty well and have had a decent front flip for a few years. side flips are just a completely different dog. i honestly dont even have a preferred side thats how terribly awkward they are for me haha.

then again thats not really a bad thing ;)

my mind is constantly moving, one day my body will be strong enough to keep up.

blocking for a sideflip usually doesn't go too well, you should learn them jumping off your front foot and lifting your back leg and tuck cowboy style

Find an obstacle of mid-torso height. Roll across it keeping yourself sideways. It helps to kick your back leg out an swing it over to get some torque (1 foot takeoff). Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. You shoulder will probably get bruised. Go get a sweatshirt or something and put it over the object. Then do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Stop. Go to sleep. Then do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. [...]

If you know what I mean...

Then start doing the motion faster and faster. Start exploding off of your takeoff foot. You start barely touching the object. Decide you will not touch the obstacle on the next run. Do it. Then do it again. Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. [...]

Well, I learned it back, front, and Im going to learn side soon.
Back is easier physically, but front flip is easier mentally. Side flip, I have no idea, but if you want to do it according to feeling, then do front, back and then side, or do it physically, by doing it back, front and then side. Just my opinion.
