Interesting write-up. I'm happy they included the last few points.

Ugh I hate this.

Why are people like this?

I can do it, therefore I will, even if it's wrong?

It makes me sick and angry

The funny part is that they weren't skilled enough to avoid arrest. :P

It sounded like they were just jumping roofs saying they were "parkouring". n00bs. but I'm glad someone FINALLY didnt make parkour sound all bad, especially in a crime situation.

ya i agree about how they said other practitioners arnt invlolved so it doesnt have impacts on other traceurs. i cant believe people will do that though. it makes me angry. but i do wonder what the police were thinking and talking about as they watched them on the roofs.
also: Parkour roof police alert!!!!!!!! wooooo wooooo (imagine sirens going off in the background)

I love the ending part though:

"Desafían a la gravedad con sus piruetas y saltos espectaculares cuando esquivan de la manera más rápida cualquier obstáculo, como vallas, muros o paredes. Para ello, los miembros de esta tribu urbana explotan al máximo sus habilidades físicas. En el 'parkour' siempre existe el riesgo de romperse la crisma, aunque sus aficionados aseguran que el peligro es mínimo cuando alguien está seguro de su salto."

It basically says that, for the most part, practitioners are on the ok side of the law, how are able to quickly overcome obstacles by using our abilities to the fullest, sometimes with flips and stuff, and that, while there certainly is risk of injury, it's minimalized when we are sure about what we're doing...
All in all, a great summary of what parkour is.

it can apply to the left or the right.
All beings depend on it for life,
and it does not refuse.

lol....but my fear is the negative image this portrays. The author noted the true nature in the end but obviously some people are going to ignore that part completely and associate parkour with crime.

Morals aren't universal.
But if you're going to do bad things and use parkour to execute them. Please don't get caught. I mean c'mon guys we've got a rep to preserve here, Parkour is supposed to be bad-ass...

I don't think so. The ending paragraphs were extremely nice towards parkour, IMO. You'd have to skip the last part in order to truly get a bad vive about parkour. After all, the article was about some kids who roofhopped their way to rob some place, it only mentioned parkour because that's what they said they did. Some? Yes. Most? Probably will forget about this.
