Stupid School Rule

Recently my school (public instigated a policy stating that no holes were allowed in jeans at all. This includes those fake holes in many american eagle clothing, and any rips in the back of the pant leg because of shoe wear. You are also not allowed to patch your jeans or sow the holes shut. I am now left with about three pairs of wearable pants and i cannot afford to buy alot of new pants. Two of my teachers have threatened to refer me to the school office for a detention or in school suspension and I dont know what to do about it.

So the school cheerleaders can get away with wearing a large belt (some people call them mini skirts) but I cant have a hole in the shin of my jeans? Something sounds a bit fishy.

Eh blows. Our school has roughly the same rule's, but noone inforces them here. In my opinion just wear those three pairs of pants. I only wear three pair's of pants and i get by fine. Just remember to wash them at least once a week each. As for the belts, is that all they wear? I'm confused. Yeah it's probally BS though. Schools don't really care about anything except getting there money for the year, and making all of the students "good". Which means good by there standards, which is usually just preppy or the such.

I have almost the same rule except, we have to wear school uniforms and we can make no alterations to the uniform. They are expensive too. I could only afford 1 pair of school pants 1 school shirt and a black polo shirt.

Jeez like at my work we're lucky if we get to wear jeans (sans holes/rips, of course) every once in a blue moon. Otherwise it's dress pants, button up collared shirts, and nice shoes............

Get used to having "acceptable" wear dictated to you by those in power.  ;)

shoes are the most pain in the ass no matter where you go.  Try to stay way from canvas shoes OSHA has a pet peeve with them.

No I just call the skirts cheer leaders wear belts because they are so rediculously short.

I wouldn't have minded this rule so much if they would have told us before I bought all of this years school clothes, but they told us a week after school had started.

i once had a pair of non-holey jeans. several failed bike jumps later, they are filled with holes and my mom wont let me wear them to school. i now wear two pairs of pants to school, and im beginning to get funny looks even though i alternate them. at least they dont start smelling until the end of the week.  ;)

my school started that last year but we are allowed to cover them. so instead of me looking like a bum because theres holes in my pants, i look like a bum because theres 3 rolls of duct tape covering them. or paper taped over them. our school boards are really making us smarter by making us wear nice clothes.(sarcasm)

YOUR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR CHRISTS SAKE ACT LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   PROTEST wear what jeans you want only if there are holes make it so they are small or in an area that you will get in trouble but it wont be a big deal.

I am shure there is some merrit in this rule tho.  I have seen some girls wear jeans with holes in the ass the size of a soft ball.  Its to protect the girls but there should be some limit to the rule itself.  So what you do is quater sizes holes some where where it doesn't matter.  If you get ISS or out of school supencion RASE HELL.  If they are truely doing it stupid media may pick up on it.  And then maybe you can bring about some change.  Just keep in mind you may wind up with a 300 pound chica with her ass haning out of the hole in her pants.

i  would (in protest) cover my whole pants in duck tape
and i wouldnt worry about wear more then to pairs a week
i mean i have friends who wear one pair of pants every day including weekends and doesnt wash them
and no one cares
plus the pant im wearing were on sale at a thrift store for 1 dollar

My friends and i (being the little hell raisers we are) tried to protest it. we would use every excuse and even went to the school board itself. one day i got in a verbal argument(not my intention) with the head of the school board in the middle of my class(he was just visiting schools) and got oss(out of school suspension) for 3 days. its bullshit. "Technically were not allowed to patch out pants either but at least there not mega strict about that anymore. ive tried to fight in everyway possible. all of the principles and vps know me by name(theres 1 priciple and 1 vp for every grade) and im only in 10th. anyother ideas that might help me win this ongoin battle will be greatly appreciated. peace out. AND i wear 1 pair of pants that i got from goodwill for 2.99 and they are killer duct tape pants. there is some thread under them though :P
