Ahh, just wondering because my friends play basket ball alot, and I was wondering if I should try going along. Age limit and all that.

Point is I'd have to go out of my way for the little benefit. Thank you!

Having hobbies that require physical activity is a good thing too. If you like basketball, go play it. It may not be the most efficient use of time, but all work no play sucks. Plus, it'll yield some benefits. This is only if it was something you wanted to do

Preference is valid.  Especially when someone is unlikely to stick with what is to them an unpleasant activity.  But, if you're old enough to take your medicine without any sugar, why choose the less effective method?

If you like playing basketball go for it.

If you want to use it as conditioning then force yourself to play at a fast pace.
