For some reason this reminds me of some old David Belle Video...

Yeah I thought of that too. It's happened to everyone more or less I think.

Thanks for posting that!  I remember seeing it a while back and wasn't able to find it again.

As for the video...ehh, I don't really find it inspiring at all.  While the message is good and all, it's overshadowed in my mind by the stupidity of the stunt.  I recognize that the point of the video is overcoming fear, and he's clearly skilled and competent enough to make his own decisions about how and why he wants to risk his life, but...really?  If this video proves anything it's that accidents can and will happen in parkour regardless of how skilled you are, so why on earth would you want to do it somewhere where the probable result of failure is death...TWICE?  Especially after it almost killed you the first time.

But whatever, it's not my place to tell people what to do.  At least the message is a good one, hopefully people will watch the whole thing.

Well... if you KNOW you can do it, and you have trained it properly and persistently then I don't see why you shouldn't go for it. He chose to do this because it was more than just an obstacle...it must have been bugging the hell out of him up until the point where he done it again...people like that just cant let those type of things go, I'm one of them. If I mess up, I will NOT leave until I get it done.

He absolutely is not embarrassed but he does get tired of being harrassed by people saying it was stupid cause they dont understand what it meant and cant comprehend because they have not reached that point yet in their life. He probably doenst like his inbox to be blown up like it has been lately. Im sure he will put it back up just give it time to die down first.

@Anthony:

I will NEVER reach that kind of a level in my life. Why do I say that? Well because I had a situation where I did almost comit suicide (I had Gods protection that day and a whole truck of luck), and I don't ever need to put my life in danger again...Thats why I KNOW I will never train like him.

I can't understand why would he wanted to make that sdc to sdb soo high above ground level.
Is it because of adrenalin? I hope not. Because all of the traceurs I know, not single one of them trains parkour because of adrenalin.
Is it because of show off, so he could become famous for it? Maybe.
Is it just because he wanted to conquer his inner fear? Probably yes, but why in the hell would he then wanted to film it and show people around the world. Try to think what would today be if he didn't manage to save himself. Surely we would not talk about this, because it would only bring bad memories to his friends and family.
And yes, also parkour is not a discipline in which one trains jumping buildings, its not about it. I think this was talked about too many times. I only think that now, there will be problems in which we will hear more often young people get killed by trying dangerous movement high above on buildings. Thats my opinion in which I will stop here. Because there is no more things I would like to say on this topic.

Stay safe
Cheers

We made the video private on both Dylan's and the Team Sanjuu youtube (youtube.com/pkfrmedia) for a number of reasons.
It was a personal thing that Dylan only wanted to release to get a message across, we originally NEVER wanted to release it is any way, shape or form, it was generating a lot of negative feedback, and neither Dylan nor myself believed it should be made available to the public any longer. So sorry about that folks.

The MAIN reason for it being taken down though, is if you watch when the camera is pointed to Noah, the camera man, and myself below...I look like an idiot :)

To answer every other question out there...
Dylan was mentally and physically more than capable of doing this the first time. He's done kong to cats much bigger before. He knew this was a risky and stupid thing to begin with, but he was doing it for himself. Even though it was risky, he had to go back and do it again by himself. Simply, Dylan is the kind of person, if he messes up, he can't go on with lingering failure. To him, this was a journey and something that would halt his progression to an extent if he couldn't overcome this barrier alone.
"Our goal isn't for it to be spectacular, to show off, or to gain respect. We merely do this for self gain and to help each other grow mentally and physically, to break our limits, and to be able to flow; just as the water does."

I don't think anyone's initial reaction to the vid was 'he's an idiot' i feel like the only reason people posted comments like that was to depict themselves in the right light, and look more mature in comparison to Dylan. I think the negative comments need to stop. instead of, "you're an idiot, you're going to die" you could say, "i think you should stick to non-lethal kong - cats for a while." It's practically the same comment, but phrased in a more positive tone.
MESSAGE TO ALL YOU YOUTUBERS OUT THERE, if you are going to post a hater comment, at least rephrase it in a positive way, because we generally don't learn from negative comments, we just get angry.
I like Tricking and Free Running, i don't think i actually do parkour, because i do it for fun and self expression, which would change the term to free running.

+1, Davy. I believe Ozzi posted this as a challenge a long long time ago on these forums...
I went out the next day knowing that I was physically not well-equipped enough at the moment to do 300, let alone 300 consecutively, so I went for 50 in a row.

Ended up with 77. One of the proudest training sessions of my life. Also, it hurt to walk normally for a week afterwards. :P
