A bunch of friends and I were out one night playing blindmans bluff... a couple of guys showed up that i had not met before(Dylan H. and Dale M.). Well i started to notice how agile and easy they made the game look, when i talked to them they told me about parkour, and they showed me more about it. I was really intrested in it. I thought I'd give it a try and ended up completly loving it. Now i train w/ those same guys all the time. and im pretty sure I'll be doing parkour for a long time.  :)

This one sounds like the awkward one out of all of them. "Yeah these two potential rapist guys showed me about some cool moves and I got into it." Lmao XD

Nah at the time we were friends with some of their friends.  I meet him and his wife the same night.  Large group of people playing tag with only two traceurs.  And when you have blindfolded guys actually climbing around on the play ground equipment to try and get each other the others tend to notice.  Also when the same guys are doing huge leaps and cats to get away from getting tagged they tended to notice too.

Billy is really awesome and we are glad to have him in the group!

i had heard about parkour from a couple of friends who had seen someone doing a wall run to get on the roof of a qt and asked them what they were doing,so at the point i thought parkour was just running up walls.eventually a few months later i had gotten a new phone that could get on the internet(since i didnt have internet on my computer)so i was bored one night watching youtube videos and just happend to remember that thing about running up walls ,and so i searched parkour on youtube. The first thing that came up happened to be a video from american parkour, for pretty much the basic stuff(kong, speed, rolls, and cats)and i thought i would try it.been obssesed ever since.

thanks to skipper and m2 by the way as they were the ones in the video and i think there was someone else but I dont remember who....o well anways thanks you two,you guys  are pretty much the reason I started parkour

You wouldn't happen to be into Manga/Anime much, would you?

You actually don't see much Anime on TV. Mainly on adult swim or anime-specific channels that you need to pay for. Very rarely can it be viewed outside of these unless it's on the web. And manga is viewed on paper, as in a serialized magazine or a book of collected chapters... Btw, the question was intended for Ms. Floatingcakes, who used a term I have never seen used outside of an anime/manga context.

Well, this definetly didn't get off topic.

Martial-Arts i guess, I'd always done things along the lines of Parkour in the past with my training, just never knew there was a seperate art to it at the time. Or maybe it was just Youtube videos and Mirrors Edge..

I was 10 years old.
My Dad just passed away.
I needed something to do.
My older brother linked me to some youtube vids.
Started training.
No more emotional build up
All vented through movement.
Hooked ever since.
