Blame it on the... Mulch?
« on: August 27, 2010, 11:44:02 AM »
So, I've been working on front tucks, SOOO much. lol It's my goal to have it down by the end of next month. Anyways; at my local park (playground, really) there are 3 different "playground's", and a set of swings, and they all have different types of mulch. In 3/4 I can land a front tuck... The other, I land pretty horribly. Granted, they aren't the cleanest, in the 3 out of the 4, I still land them... But at the other spot, it's usually my back or my arse... Can mulch be the cause of this? This type of mulch?

It most likely is a hight issue or a mental one.  Remember to jump UP and at the peak flip.  This will help a lot.  Also if your landing low go into a pk roll.  If you don't have a pkroll yet learn them and drill them till they are butter.  This will help clean up your fronts as well.

Alright, thanks. I don't think it's something mental, cause I can land it on the other types of mulch ??? But sounds good. Thanks :)
That's te thing I need for the ending of my front tucks, a parkour roll. Something I land and fly a little foward xP

You would be surprised.  It very well could be your timing at that one spot.  Fronts are very hard to spot your landing and so knowing when to "open" is a lot harder then with other flips where your landing spot is in view most of the time.
